Works great!
Works great. The paint on is awkward to use a spray on would be easier. it's not like glue it's more like a runny vaseline. Yellow flies went right to it.

Thes balls do not work.
This is useless. I put two out past year and caught exactly ZERO horse flies.

Very happy NO BITES
I love this ball but at first thought it was pricey . It does work I live in a gated community and every summer I was getting bit by yellow flies. Well this year I have zero bites and there is a lot of dead yellow flies on the ball . It made the price worth it . I’m happy with my purchase . I recommend the tangle foot spray instead of the can . It’s way easier .MY UPDATE AFTER A YEAR IN IN STORAGEOk so at the end of summer I cleaned off the tanglefoot spray with mineral spirits and then deflated them. I just now refilled them but I noticed they were leaking at the hole you add air . I was able to fix this by spraying WD-40 in the hole and then inserting the pin thing that fills them up . Be generous with the WD40 . I even put some on the pin thing that fills it . This fixed the issue . One of them game me a hard time . I had to do it 3 times . Give it a shot if you run into this issue .

Good idea, but hasn’t caught a horsefly yet.
Great idea, but it hasn’t caught a single horsefly in my barn area. My poor 33 year old horse would be covered in sores from nasty horsefly bites, and I have wracked my brain trying to find a trap or other way to exterminate these nasty buggers without having to constantly douse my horse in chemicals. I generously sprayed the ball and hung it in an area with no shade near where my horse gets attacked the worst. I live in north Texas and the horse flies are the worst in June. I got this in early July, so maybe that’s why it hasn’t caught one, although my horse still has multiple bites per day. I also reapplied the sticky spray to give it a good covering. The horse flies we have out here are huge, about the diameter of a quarter, so they may be too big to get stuck on it too. Overall I like the idea of it, and hope I have better luck next season.

Does not seem to work well. Does not attract the inspects to the ball.

Works great for no-see-ums and gnats…
I bought the four ball yellow kit specifically because the description said that it controlled no see ums (biting midges) and gnats. An hour after I hung the balls it had captured hundred of midges. They have been up for over a week now and they are covered with gnats and midges. It stormed one night but that didn’t effect them at all. Thanks to this product I have regained the use of my yard. The spray was easy to apply.

Don’t Waste Your Money
Doesn’t work. I put 3 of these up in my yard in shade and sunlit locations and over the course of the summer, caught maybe 4 horseflies. And it looks ridiculous in my yard. I gave it 2 stars because the sticky spray it comes with is effective if sprayed on a proper trap. I sprayed upside down, blue 5 gallon buckets and those caught more horseflies than these black balls.

Works Great
I couldn't open the gate to my pasture without the deer flying attacking me. I hung a couple of the bug balls and "problem resolved". The spray adhesive is more convenient but I can say the brush on works a lot better. If you’re going to use the brush on use rubber gloves, it’s messy. I saw where a couple of people talk about the spray coming out like silly string, make sure you shake the spray can for a couple of minutes or the sprayer gets clogged.
