The Brawl is the 5th book in the Calamity Montana series and my favorite in the series so far! This whole small town series has been solid for me and I’ve really enjoyed catching up to this latest release.I loved the meet cute moment in this one! Ronan is a lawyer and has recently moved from California to Calamity, Montana. He’s setting up his office and notices a beautiful woman walk by the window, so he runs outside to introduce himself and the only thing he can come up with is to ask if a $20 bill he found on the ground is hers (which he just pulled from his pocket 😅). But once Larke realizes it’s a pick-up line, she walks off. But Ronan is determined to let her know he’s interested and in a small town, they’re bound to run into one another again and again…and they do. Things also get complicated when one of Ronan’s new clients is a teenager in Larke’s high school English class and they want to sue her!Larke Hale is a busy single mom to her young daughter Wren and a high school English teacher. Her sister Kerrigan has a book in the series as well. She doesn’t have time for the hot new lawyer in town, but when he becomes her new neighbor as well, avoiding him gets harder. The romance and chemistry between Ronan and Larke (once they get on the same page) was just really easy and natural, you could tell these 2 were meant to be. I also really loved Ronan’s easy relationship with Larke’s daughter and nicknaming her “Firefly”, so sweet! The way he starts helping Ember as well, the student who wants to sue Larke. I really enjoyed this story and got wrapped up in the characters and was surprised right alongside the characters when some things came up. And the epilogue, such a full-circle fun and sweet moment!

4.5 Stars. I had no idea how this book was going to play out, and let me say, I 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐃 it!!! Another 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 book by Devney!!! Like I say the same things over and over and I don't even know what to say anymore besides, 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊!!! Lol⁣⁣Ronan moved to Calamity for a small, quiet life, and it was definitely a 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 for him. He saw Larke, and was 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘬. He would do anything to get her attention even when 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴. He would go as far as taking the case where her student wants to complain a case about her. Lol this was a first, and I loved it. Larke is a single mother, high school teacher. She doesn't have time for any men, but what happens when she's attracted to the lawyer who is about to sue her? Lol 😏⁣⁣𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭!!! Lol I 𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴. 🥹 Because it was sad and then it turned into something really beautiful.⁣⁣Can we just get a moment....when Ronan calls Larke, "𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢"....𝐈 𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐃. 𝐒𝗪𝐎𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃. Lol⁣⁣Ok. 𝐆𝐎 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊. ⁣
