This little product is so worth it.
Some people have complained this didn't come with a pole. It said it didn't in the description. Some people said it was too much money for a small piece of plastic. It isn't. First, read the description. Second, this little piece of plastic - although it's much stronger than mere plastic - does a job no other tool I've found does. Our ceiling fan went out and was replaced by our warranty company. However the replacement, which is far inferior to the original, has the reverse switch on the body of the fan - above the light - which makes it impossible to change the direction without a ladder. UNLESS you get this tool. I screwed it on the end of a broom handle (which was the instruction) and I can change the fan direction from standing on the floor of the room it's in. I don't want to change it seasonally - I want to change the direction when I want to change it. No more getting out a ladder to change the fan direction. Outstanding.

super tool for top down / bottom up window coverings
This device works great for pulling down and raising my top down / bottom up window coverings without having to get on a chair. Very convenient and more effective than other tools I tried.

Great little gizmo!
This is a great gizmo for reaching all kinds of things. It’s also very sturdy and has held up well. When I bought it about 2 years ago, I just wanted something that could open and close the ceiling registers in my 10-14 foot ceilings. I screwed it onto a long extension pole that came with a light bulb changing kit. It has worked great for reaching the registers, but I’ve also used it for other things. Today, my son and I were trying to take down the exterior Christmas lights from the high eaves of the roofline without actually going on top of the roof. I thought of this little tool, and it worked so great to snag the cords and pull the clips out from under the shingles, that I just had to stop and give it a 5-star review.

Better than crawling over the bed, I guess
These are super expensive for what they are but I knew as I read the reviews. I bought two, one for my mom so she can stop beating the hell out of her shutters with her cane and one so I don’t have to crawl over my bed to get to the two last shutter panels. I’m thinking if I open them before I get up and just use this to close them it will be a lot easier but if it’s too cold to open them when I get up, this tool makes it easier. I put the two I got on a short squeegee stick and it works out fine. Unfortunately for me one of my shutters is too far away for the short stick bc you have to be standing directly in front of the shutters to make this work. My side approach only works to close them with the short stick. So I will use a longer stick on mine and slide it under the bed. When I get tired of having a tool that can work with the correct pole length. I suppose you can trim your pole if it’s too long, I will. The seller of this product is aware this is the best tool for the job intended so that’s why the price is high. Pay the price and enjoy your windows or not.

Works great!
I looked high and low for a solution to how to open and close two sets of lines in my house that were just installed and the cords are short as they are for short upper windows. They are 12 feet high. This little gadget that screws onto any type of extension pole is genius. Nobody else makes anything like it. I bought a very nice expandable extension pole that shrinks down to 1 1/2 feet and up to 3 feet and it works perfectly together. I showed it to the installer when he had to come back to fix one of the blinds and he said that was the best solution he’s ever seen. I thought it was a little expensive over $12, but considering the problem is solved, it’s well worth it. Don’t waste your time searching around, there’s nothing else on the market that will work like this for corded blinds.

Let's me close high windows relatively easily
The "Smart Reacher" does what I needed; help close high windows that are two high up (18 foot wall) to reach without a ladder. The attachment easily screws into an extension pole (had purchased many hears back for other purposes).A little bit of finesse is needed to properly snag the window, maintain good pressure and keep the plastic lip in contact with the window; have mastered it so can be done relatively easily. There is a soft rubber mini sleeve that can be placed on the attachment lid to minimize any marring from the plastic. For the price, there should be a half dozen or more of these, since they will not last long with constant use.Overall, a great device that fits the bill!

Not Useful Enough!!
The product is sturdy but I wanted to use it to reach high cellular shades. The flat part wasn't long enough to stay on the shade pull tab to pull the shade down. It was able to pull down the top sash of a double hung window though.

Brilliant design makes for a very versatile tool!
This is an amazing little tool that worked quite well for it's intended use: opening and closing cellular shades without having to stand on the sofa. I attached it to a Mr. Longarm medium duty extension pole, and it fits securely. The best thing about this little gadget is the little brochure that came with it listing dozens of uses. Because it's more than just a hook, there are so many things you can do with it that I would have never thought of: from installing and removing Christmas lights to hanging bird feeders on a tall branch.
