I had an old Pitcher Pump that I cleaned up and repainted. I had to replace the old leathers as well and needed a new plunger. The new Simmons plunger fit and works great . The pump had a standard 3” opening and the plunger was perfect with the leather that came with it. Nice fit and good to go.

It was a bit snug and hard to push down into the pump. We started to think we may have ordered a wrong part. But we rubbed some olive oil on the leather and managed to install it. I am pretty sure the snugness is actually a good thing. It will probably last a long time. Pump works great.

This fit right in my 4 year old Tractor Supply cast iron pitcher pump. The old one refused to disassemble for a new cup leather but this was simple and not much more money. If it only had the bottom check valve, too, it would have been the perfect repair. I bought rubber checks from another seller and they are horrible.

This plunger fit a 100+ year old pitcher pump.
