Revolver Special Edition[LP]

All of the releases that Giles Martin have done are fantastic.

Bought this as a gift, mostly to introduce a younger generation to some excellent music. The Album is a Classic. This vinyl seem to be fine, I have not compared it to an original cutting, but I am not sure that I could tell the difference. Jacket Cover seemed perfect as well..

I received this Giles Martin remaster of Revolver as an Amazon album of the month. I have owned a few copies of this record over the years. This one is one of the best versions I have heard. I cannot say that it is enormously different than the last stereo remaster, but it sounds clearer. Small details are sharper. The midrange sounds more present. I still prefer the 2014 mono mix, but for a stereo mix I think this is as good as it has gotten. I have to say this is a pleasant surprise, too, because I loathe the Giles Martin version of Let It Be. I am happy to recommend this version of Revolver. I think every rock and roll fan should have a copy, anyway - if you haven't been directly influenced by it, the musicians you love probably were influenced by it.I would also like to say that the copy I have is flat, clean and silent. It is a very well pressed record. This is no longer a standard to take for granted, so I like to mention when things appear to have been done properly.

This recording is clearly louder than the original pressing. That said, this edition clearly has been remastered. The details have been brought out, which is clearly shown in Yellow Submarine. Some would say that's bad, because it's not faithful to the original. However, Giles Martin has obviously been brought in re-imagine entire record. It makes my original pressing seem dull and lifeless. Buy this to compare and contrast with the original... you will be glad you did.

It’s The Beatles, how can you go wrong. I’ve heard a lot of noise about mono this, stereo remastered that. This is the 2022 remastered version and I think it’s superb ! So no matter what version you choose, this album is a must have for any fan.
