This is a clean, neutral tasting and smelling, easy to dissolve bone broth. I add salt to taste (often some Redmond’s Re-lyte electrolytes). I made a cozy mug of bone broth with this powder nearly every morning of our summer road trip and thoroughly enjoyed each cup. I ordered another container of bone broth powder but was upset to find the consistency, texture, and smell/taste of the product was different than my first container. I contacted customer service and they promptly looked into the batch quality. In the meantime, they refunded my purchase and sent a smaller container (from another batch). They have since determined my container likely was subjected to moisture but this issue seems isolated to my container rather than the whole batch. I highly recommend this product and will personally continue using this convenient and tasty broth. Great company, quality product, excellent customer service. 5 out of 5 stars!

Over the years, I grew tired of doing 30-hour preparations in CrockPots and extensive separation of broth from these ingredients after those 30 hours (and disposing of the detritus!!), and I have tried numerous organic, beef "bone broths." This product from YounGlo tastes the best (and has lower sodium, too). I take my hot green tea or just hot water and while swirling it with a spoon, tap the tilted scoop to add the powder a bit at a time. It makes a tasty, clear broth. update, Oct 11, 2019. I am perplexed by a few comments about "clumping", so I have added a sequence of photos. 1st photo is taken after I added a scoop to hot green tea, while stirring. A few clumps are visible. 2nd photo shows how I press a clump against the side of the cup with the spoon - the clump disintegrates and dissolves, rapidly. 3rd photo is the resulting clear broth. Enjoy! Update - when I wrote my original review, the product was an off-white color and I discovered through trial-and-error that it went with a fine, hot, Japanese green tea. About 6 months ago, YounGlo changed the formulation of this product because some people complained about the bucolic aroma. The 2nd formulation looked like a mixture of some off-white flakes and some brown flakes. It DID NOT taste good with hot Japanese green tea. I tried numerous teas and finally found that it went well with Triple Leaf brand white tea. Great! Now - YounGlo has again changed the formulation and I have not found ANY hot tea that goes with it. Today, i discovered that dissolving this formulation in strong green tea (e.g., Gunpowder Green) --- once it has been allowed to cool to room temperature tastes flat. Not so enjoyable as either of the prior formulations. Fudge! Not 5 stars any more. FYI - this is the best substitute for "NutriJoint" gelatin that I have found, although it obviously has better nutritional content than NutriJoint gelatin did. I liked NutriJoint because it dissolved (or dispersed easily) in room-temperature water. (NutriJoint gelatin is no longer marketed, that I can find) update, April 2022 - Younglo, after months of not being able to ship their product (COVID19-related supply-chain issues), they are shipping again and the light-brown powder now tastes like the previous version, which goes well with white tea. 5 stars, again, from me.

It is bone broth, there will be a slight collagen flavor when added to anything. That said, this product does add a lot of body to a common beverage or prepared item. I use a small wire whisk to add this to my coffee in the morning. Filling coffee about 1/4 in the cup, and then adding the powder slowly while stirring to avoid clumpy gelatinization, I stop when no more clumps can be seen. A good bit of foam is produced, I add my cream, then top off the coffee. It provides a richer cup of coffee, although the collagen can be tasted. Strong coffee and good cream help with balancing the flavor. Point of that story, I am not a big fan of the raw flavor of collagen. My dog on the other hand, loves it. I actually mix a little with water to make a little special gravy for his food. This goes very quickly. I haven't been using long enough to see any quantifiable benefit from this product. Honestly, I don't know that I will. I like to give hype foods and supplements a good try. Most never pan out, but on this bone broth, the jury is still out.

I was looking to boost my daily gram intake of protein and can't use whey protein as it screws up my guts. This product has done the job well and seems to be the best deal going... by far. At first the taste was a problem as others state but I found a trick that works for me, mix with 5 -8 oz of water and a few oz's of beet juice along some lemon, I use about an oz or Concret lemon lime creatine HCL which is another fantastic product. A handful of frozen blueberries goes well also. Hope this helps someone

So far, this has been the best quality powdered broth for the best price. I add it to my son's smoothies for extra protein, so it mixes up well in lukewarm or cold with a blender. I drink it hot, myself, but you have to treat it like Jell-O: Add boiling water and stir for a few minutes until completely dissolved. I actually appreciate how gooey it is, because it means there's plenty of gelatin in it. The flavor is neutral, so it tastes good either salty or sweet -- or even plain. I mostly use it as needed, so I haven't had the benefits of consistent use yet. However, when I was drinking it most often, it was soothing to my stomach and voice (I was trying to heal a cold so I could sing in a concert). Next time, I plan to buy two containers so one can be for my son's food and one only for me. I'll have to edit this review after using it regularly as a supplement.

Blends well. Taste is difficult to deal with.
