I bleached my hair on Sunday, then used the Sinful Silver dye on Monday. My hair is two toned so I left the bottom brown & bleached about 2/3 of my hair. I put the dye on my entire head & left it on for 1 hour & 30 minutes. My hair is shoulder length but I barely had enough for my entire head. I really needed a little more dye to saturate my hair thoroughly. I didn't wash it but did use Shimmer Lights conditioner for blonde and silver hair. My brown hair did not take any of the color; it is still brown (i was hoping it would be a darker silver like the side of the box shows for brown hair). My blonde hair turned out mostly a whitish color with a lot of lavender in it. There was still a good bit of blonde in it too. I decided to wash my hair later that evening to see if it would remove the lavender. There was some lavender color that washed out in the shower but it is still a whitish/pale lavender color. With another application of color, it would probably be fine if I was wanting lavender hair (since pink & purple hair is stylish now) but it's a bit much for my age (59) & my husband does not care for it at all. I have occasionally used purple chalk to highlight small sections of my hair when going to a party or a concert but it's not a color that I want for everyday.

The first time I used this product, I loved the results. The second time, my hair came out purple. Figuring I had left the coloring on too long, I left it on for a much shorter period the next time I used it. Better than time No. 2, but still some purple left in my hair. I wish I could get consistent results that are a good as the first time.

I've been using Splat for several years now, and the kit itself is probably my least favorite of the ones I've used. However, that's largely for only one reason. If you already have naturally dark hair, you might need a second bleach kit to get your tone to a platinum or light blonde color to pick up the toner better. I have jet black hair, so while it didn't come out a flashy silver, it has nice notes of it.

It's bleach and purple toner. My hair turned out perfect. I will have to tone again and leave it on a bit longer as my roots are silver and the ends have a champagne tint. But I love it. I mixed the bleach in a bowl and used a brush to apply, also put the toner in a bowl and used a brush to apply it. Works better imo. Over all, great product. Love it!

Followed directions to a T but didn't come out as well as expected. Bleach worked, be careful not to over process, but silver color did not deposit well. I have thick hair and followed the recommended timing to leave color on a little longer but still didn't seem to work. Patchy silver and sort of purple in areas. Good thing it washes out eventually. Dries hair out and no conditioner included with pack. Wouldn't recommend. The Got2B product is much better as it will dye the darker hair a nice smokey gray, but that washes out really quickly too. Next move is to try silver conditioner to remove my brassy blonds.
