Absolute significant improvement
Living 30-40 miles from an FM broadcast tower can make radio reception spotty depending on tower strength. In my case, a local station would have more static by me moving around a room or standing in certain positions. My receiver was equipped with a simple wire antenna that I tacked on a wall. It was not enough. This antenna has a long cord on it with a magnetic base for placement and extendable antenna. It comes with multiple inputs for different receiver outputs but in my case the base coax input made for easy screw on installation. It works perfectly, with the longer wire allowing a magnetic placement on a metal bedpost. No more static, strong broadcast signal, super clear. It might cost 2x a simple wire, but the value is definitely there.

Good buy - worked to get me my wanted stations.
Works perfect for my needs - radio now clear and glad it had several adaptors. It’s fully extended on the floor next to my stareo.

My hope did not work.
I was hoping that this would work better than the flat type for TV. While it did perform better. It still was not the answer for my situation. But, I would say you have more flexibility then the flat type of TV antenna.

Total let down.
I have been using the flimsy wire hooked up and draped to a nearby wall for my FM antenna on my Surround Sound Processor. I felt certain this telescoping antenna would provide as equally crystal clear reception and look far neater. Alas, the reception was worse. I tried placing it in various locations and the only time the signal got really clear was when it was in my hand being moved in one particular spot. So I reverted back to the supplied FM dangling wire and crisp clea FM again blasts out of my processor.I'm not saying this unit is defective but I suspect there is definitely more to it than just hooking up to various systems. Placement of those systems, absence of chicken wire on a stucco house (I'm sure I live in a Faraday cage LOL) would all help to get a better signal. It just does nothing in my environment and I'm not about to tear my media center down and move it for the sake of a nice looking antenna.
