I installed this into my older car stereo so I can plug my phone in with lightening, because to me, the AM/FM bluetooth transmitters sound horrible.With this plugged into the AUX channel and into my phone, the sound is much more clean and crisp. The bass is louder and fuller, and everything just has less hiss and dissonance.It's nice that it also has USB-C in addition to lightening, so when I upgrade my phone, I won't need to get and install a different adapter.

Twice defective
Avoid this product. The first one I had lasted under a year ultimately making loud popping and feedback sounds with an unreliable connection to audio. The second one lasted under a month doing the same as well as the metal sleeve adjacent to the RCA coming loose. Among Amazon's many great products, this one is junk.
