Great product, works well.
Quality finish. As good as any brand I've used. Color is as advertised. Mixes well. Shellac can be tricky, make sure you know what to do with this product before you order it.

Great for learning and practicing Shellac finishes
I wanted to experiment with the use of shellac as a wood finish. This cost effective option is allowing me to experiment with different cuts, French polishing, etc. As far as I can tell, it is a good product.

Very light tint
These dissolved well. They are lighter than a blonde package I bought from another source. Very little color change on eastern white pine after 2 coats of 2 pound cut. Not a problem for me.

Remains tacky
I have used BT&C shellac flakes for many years on my wood turnings and decided to try this cheaper product. As usual, you get what you pay for. I always mix a 1# cut using DNA. This product does not dry hard enough to finish sand as I've done for years. It remains slightly tacky no mater how long I let it dry and does not produce the finish I'm used too.Not recommended for art pieces.

Very Waxy
I mix this with dewaxed shellac to increase plasticity and therefore durability. Dewaxed shellac is brittle and can crack easily.Shellac with wax should be avoided when used underneath a non-shellac finish.
