After trying and failing with a few of the solar-powered fan options I decided to just bite the bullet and run an extension cord to my coop to power this fan. You do have to add your own power plug to this version of this fan but there is another slightly more expensive version that comes with the plug already installed. Air movement is excellent as is the all-metal build quality. Noise is what you would expect from a fan this size and is on part with the cheap 8-inch plastic variants the solar kits come with. Chickens were a little nervous at first but quickly grew accustomed. You will want to put some metal mesh on the inside over the front of this fan as it provides a large pathway for bugs when the fan isn't running. One other thing I did was put a paper clip on the vent doors to pinch them together allowing max airflow. These only open about 85% of the way with the fan blowing on it's own, not a big deal but I wanted 100%. In the winter I'll just remove the paper clip. I also tested the electrical flow with the fan running over a day and it clocks in at a steady 55 watts so you can do the math on what this would cost if you let it run 24/7 over the summer.All in all a great 8-inch outside fan that could be used to vent a number of out buildings but in my case works very well for a chicken coop.

Fan works awesome best I've seen as far as suction.looks great easy installation. In a small bath the fog /steam is no more the smells are gone after use.I find the noise is actually good and is important in a close environment as the noises are suppressed by the fan.on purpose!

This fan is loud. Our bathroom is quite small so it probably sounds louder than it would in a bigger room. The house is older and was piped for a vertical exhaust fan which greatly limited our options after the 60+ year old fan stopped working. The fan works great and hubby was able to install it.

Fan draws air nicely however when it runs it is fairly noisy. Works great in my garage but don't think it would work on doors.

Haven't installed it yet. But I am very impressed with the appearance of the fan. It looks great and the installation suggestion that came with the listing was super helpful. Feels very well made. A bargain at the price listed. Looks like fans that cost twice as much.

Not as pretty as the other modern finishes, but does the job, loud, this can be good and bad..used in a small bathroom and it’s been great.. ordered 2.. highly recommended.

I am really happy with this fan. it moves a great deal of air and was more than I expected for the money!!The only thing that others may not like is that the power supply wiring is not very long. i put mine in a new construction wall so it didn't matter to me. Anyway it a good looking and fine running fan! I give it 2 thumbs up!!!
