It’s cast aluminum, not iron, but the quality is much higher than the original.
I replaced the original tailstock on a Vevor 7x14 mini lathe, and it is a much better part than the original. Fits very well.

It works
It has all the features of import lathe tailstocks. Fit and finish is 6 out of 10. Had to scrape paint off the ram and the hand wheel is a bit wobbly. All in all it serves the purpose for a decent price.
