Well made and impressive for the price.
I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I ordered this lens. The package arrived, and as I was opening it, I was surprised to see a nicely made tin housing the lens. I wish my Canon L glass lenses that I have bought came packaged as nicely. I looked down at the lens and picked it up noticing it's heft. I mounted it to my camera and realized that it must have been made to some tight tolerances because of how nice a snug fit it had to the body. It works very well. The body seems tight and awesome. No slack or loose fitting parts. I went on the companies web site. the biggest difference between this lens and the one that is about $200 more by the same company (Irix) is that the more expensive one has a metal body more along the lines of the "L" glass. I would love to have one so I could do a side by side comparison, but I don't have that sort of cash to play with. I believe that the internal optics are the same in both. On a side note, if you go to the companies web site they also make a 11mm version. I haven't seen it on amazon yet. The pics that I have added of the church interior are straight out of the camera. No editing to improve them in any way. The other photo I added to show off the bokeh of the lens. If you want to order a filter or two for the front of the camera, it is 95mm. Yes, you read that right, 95mm. I picked up one on amazon for next to nothing compared to what most filters cost and it works great! Irix makes their own brand of filters, but sadly didn't see any list on Amazon. The lens takes crisp photos. I'm impressed with the quality of the glass. The BadIt's supposed to run a f-stop range of 2.4 to 22. My camera reads it as a 2.5 I can live with a 0.1 difference. That's it. So far that's the only bad thing I have to say about the lens.

Great ultra wide prime
I have only used it on a limited basis.. I got it for a wider alternative to my 20 mm prime and can use a circular filter... Lens is light and very well made.. Nice lens cap and nice smooth focus ring... Only thing I could complain about with my early review is that the focus lock is pretty tight... Images are very sharp but yet to test in direct sunlight so not sure how good the coating is at this point. Really excellent lens for the price and I am sure I will be using the lens quite a bit in the future.

Light fall of is stronger than I like - but for the price it's s good compromise.
This was a used lens from Adorama. It was stated as very good and I would rate it excellent. As for the lens itself, I found that light fall was much stronger than anticipated. Lightroom fixes most of it, but it really has strong vignetting wide open and at F4. Image quality is good a is contrast. Less so than my Nikons but ok. Edges are soft at F2.4 and F4 but improve at F5.6. I found the lens construction for the Firefly version to be very good. Solid, with no play at all. Focus is heavily damped and works nicely on manual mode of a Z6.

Amazing super wide angle!
Wonderful lens! Well built, packaged well, great hood, sharp, focus lock, smooth focus, camera aperture control with exif data, little distortion or chromatic aberration, and the infinity click is nice and dead on! Haven’t tried the gel filters yet but soon will. Very wide angle! Vignetting is strong at 2.4 but the lens is still fairly sharp in the corners at that wide open aperture. A lens profile is a must to correct vignetting at large apertures. Daytime blue sky shows vignetting until F9.0 but with a lens profile you won’t notice it. Very happy with my purchase!

Received a Trashed Copy
Scuffed up. Dented Irix box. Aperture blades incredibly asymmetrical. Mounted it to a body and took 3 frames. Couldn't get infinity focus anywhere on the focus ring. Love the field of view and how it appears to have not much apparent distortion for such a wide lens (just looking through viewfinder...) But the complaints of poor QC seem to be true based on the messed up aperture blades and lack of infinity focus anywhere on the ring. And something is off with the way it was shipped. Thankfully Amazon said "send it back" and I'll try another copy. Will update my review pending the receipt of a second copy and testing it out ... provided it is in working condition.10/28/19 The replacement arrived from Amazon. Same dented from-the-inside box. Same scuffed up hood. Same inability to get infinity focus anywhere on the scale.

I LOVE THIS LENS
I researched for about 10 months before committing to buy a wide angle lens...mostly because I rarely need one...but I got it! I love it. It's incredibly sharp! Only complaint is that even after talking with Irix, I could not get the lens profile added to Camera Raw...so I have to make the adjustments myself. No big deal. Honestly, there's barely any distortion with this lens anyway...very straight lines. Great lens. Ive used it for real estate photos...woah so good
