works for a while- that's it
I like this style of opener and this item DID work for about a year and 1/2 but as others have reviewed, it pushes the cork in, the screw part is loose,etc- not heavy duty or well made. I would have expected it to work longer than 1 1/2 years.

Received less than 2 months ago and the guide rod has already come free from the main head rendering the unit unreliable and virtually useless. Flawed design as similar units. Suggest threading rod end and securing with screw problem solved.38 year process engineer.

Looks pretty but doesn't work. 9 out of 10 times it pushes cork in. Maybe this one is defective. Going to return and try a replacement

i just love it very easy to use this wine bottle opener is the best I've ever used of this style. it comes with a small stand so i can leave it on the counter without having to cram it in a drawer, as well as an extra screw and a foil remover .arrived on time and has been great to use to open wine.much easier to use than ones i have previously purchased from stores.

Sturdy and easy to use
This is a really good wine opener. Very sturdy and easy to use. Comes in a nice box for gift giving. Would order this again!
