Bought this and it was amazing!!! At first. Once the battery died I charged it and now anytime I hit the electric start button it doesn't turn over and it blinks red and green so I thought maybe the battery was bad so I bought a brand new battery and a brand new charger and charge that battery fully and stuck it in and same thing so now I have a $160 paperweight. And I can't seem to get any help with it from the manufacturers...... It'd be great for someone to tell me how to fix it..... 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Great running and easy start. Be sure to get a shoulder strap it is a heavy unit.

After unpacking and assembling it started right up after fueled and primed. Battery start is great. Auto feed string head is like everybody else's, it jams and breaks off at the port. I'll be replacing the head with the Shakespeare unit as soon as I use all the string in the factory head. As others have noted, this unit is heavy! It's heavier than a standard gas unit but worth it to me so I don't have a heart attack pull starting.

Ed Whisenant-in Valdese NC. “ I wanted to write this review to say. This mixed fuel, straight shaft weed eater with electric start, is the BEST purchase I’ve ever made !!!. It arrived yesterday 6-6-2025 and I charged the battery… and then the next day I put fuel in it … followed the instructions: turn it to choke position and pumped the bubble (5) times . And pressed start… and it started right up!!! I was like a kid with a new bicycle at Christmas… I used it for about (2) hours.. stopping to fuel up again and restarting the machine…. Stopped twice to talk to neighbors and restarted it a couple more times… before finishing the weed eating… I could not be more happy with this machine…. Everyone I demonstrated it to is so amazed at the “electric start”…. Everybody is talking about how this saves your shoulder and arms a lot of unnecessary strain and muscle aches… I highly recommend this product…..

Very easy to put together. Not heavy to use, easy to change the the wire assembly to a blade type cutter to cut heavier brush.

My old rope pull Homelite didn't start this year.Wow, good concept.. electric start string trimmer.Ordered from Amazon.Unpacked and assembled. EasyPut in 40:1 mixture gas.Charged the battery.Pushed starter button. Nothing.Tried a few things. NothingCalled AmazonThey were great, refunded in full but couldn't send it back because of the gas.Diagnosed and repaired the starter button. Bad design.It started.OK let's see how it works.User experience:Very heavy, tiring even with the shoulder strap. Traded shoulder pain for hand pain.Oil spews out exhaust, leaves drips when stored.Then the factory string broke off inside the spool.That should have been simple enough. Not!Even by the book, this illogical & poor spool design takes several tries to get it right,but by then your hands are wasted from the hard twist reload, even with tools.That ruined it for me. Back to shopping for a replacement...Sad. Because I really tried to like it.

I absolutely love this weed eater for its ease of use and not having to go through the back breaking task of pulling a stubborn, cold weed eater for an hour, but alas after only one season, the ring that holds the string spool/mechanism in place broke on both sides where the clips hold it in place. I don't know what happened, I restrung the spool without taking the whole assembly off because it winds up without having to. But I made it halfway through my yard and it looked like it threw up green weed eater string all over the place. Would have given it 5-stars if not for this incident.
