NICE REPAIR KIT
Ordered this repair kit to fix a leak in an innertube on my road bike. Worked nicely. Still have several patches left over.

Nobody has better customer service! Wow!!
BOTTOMLINE:Nine40e (Seller) and RocRide (Manufacturer) rock! Really!!Fantastic retailer and manufacturer with amazing customer service and a good product! “Very satisfied” is an understatement.Super happy!TIPS FOR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS:There are two types of bicycle tire tubes:1. Butyl rubber2. LatexThis product is specifically for Butyl rubber tires. It uses vulcanizing cement to seal the puncture. It will NOT work for Latex tubes. For Latex tubes, use the “Glueless” patch kit product.I am not sure how to identify if a tube is of the rubber or latex kind. I leave that as an exercise for you! 😊SUGGESTIONS FOR THE SELLER/MANUFACTURER:It would help to add information about the different types of tubes and the applicability of this item. I don’t think it is reasonable to expect customers to know this information.I am guessing that the negative reviews that have complained about the patch not working could likely have used it on a latex tire, like I did.MY EXPERIENCE:Bought this vulcanizing patch kit to fix punctured rear tube.Applied the patch as instructed.Patch didn’t hold and came off soon after inflating tire.Disappointed.Wondered what went wrong.Ordered a new tube and got the bicycle back on the road.Front tube punctured after couple of days.Applied patch as instructed, this time even more carefully.Patch didn’t hold and came off soon after inflating tire - again.Disappointed and annoyed. Curious to find out if the fault was in the product or in me.Contacted RocRide with a picture of unpatched patch.Received response in only a few minutes:- My tube needs a different type of patch - the glueless kind, not the vulcanizing kind- I will be getting a refund- I will be getting a glueless patch kit sample for freeDidn’t ask or expect a refund. They gave it.Didn’t expect a free sample. They sent it.Applied glueless patch as instructed.Worked perfectly.Super happy!Thank you Nine40e and RocRide!

Perfect for the pannier, worked well for my flat tubes.
It's the right form factor for the pockets. Effective. However it would be nice if it came with rough sandpaper rather than a rasp, as I find sandpaper to be better at removing the "lip" seam that a lot of tubes have.

Great little kit.
This is a nice little kit that I have used a couple times without issue. I like that it stores in a tiny compact case and can be easily stored in a bag, or even in your pocket. It's a good price for a little extra insurance when out and about with a stroller, or bicycle.

No Instructions, poor quality lever devices
The product arrived on time. It's all packed into a little case reminding me of a small harmonica. There were no instructions. I pretty much know how to use a tube repair kit from my kid days, but there were some pieces I didn't recognize. It came with three "sticks" that seemed to be levers for prying the tire from the rim to get at the tube. They're about 3" long, plastic, and have a curved, spoon end and a hook end. Don't know what the hook is for, but the curved end worked well to get between the tire and rim. Then it broke ("Made In Taiwan" printed on it), and the snapped piece went inside the tire to join the tube.So i went back to my kid days and used two flat screwdrivers to work the tire bead off the rim to get at the tube. Fixing the tube was pretty standard fare; the glue worked, and the kit comes with eight patches in three sizes. Overall however I expect better. Instead of those pry bar plastic thingies, they ought to include a valve stem core removal tool.

Everything you'll need to fix a flat
I found this set to be all I'll need on the road to patch a flat should one occur. I like the super compact size and the number of patches included. The set contains different size patches, a metal scuffer (think sandpaper), the necessary rubber cement and 3 tire removal levers. I wonder about the lever strength on my fat tire bike, we'll see on the first change (I can get the tire off without the levers but they do help). There are instruction on the package, so if you have never done a flat repair, you have a guide. Just remember to give the rubber cement time to set up before applying the patch.
