Accomodates big laptop, reduces heat on lap
It's a generous size, and not too heavy on the lap. The cushions are comfortable, and it reduces the level of heat on the lap.

Fits my 17.3'' Alienware Perfectly!
I'm deep in the trenches of NaNoWriMo 2022 and I needed a lap desk that would comfortably fit my heavy Alienware. Not only does it fit comfortably, but it has a designated mousepad with a built in cushion to keep the mouse from rolling off the surface. The foam padding on the back can be adjusted for elevation and is perfectly comfortable (even with this beast of a heavy laptop!) The desk is durable and protects my lap from the heat of the laptop, though it also allows the laptop to run as normal, without overheating issues.100% recommend for fellow writers like me looking for another cozy position in which to spend more hours of the day than we actually have to imagine our stories into existence!

Perfect!
Just what I needed. The construction is solid and seems like it will last a long time. This makes using the laptop that much better, great for sitting or lounging in bed. The heat distribution is awesome, I can work for hours comfortably. I love the phone holder above the mouse pad, it holds the phone perfectly and is great for multitasking. A definite must have for anyone.

Good, With a Few Flaws
First impression was: Wow, this thing is light! Is it sturdy enough? And yeah, I think it is. And being light is a plus, I suppose.Functionally, it works OK for me. But, since there's not a stop for the mouse, it tends to slide off the desk. So, I use it reversed, with the bumper to keep laptop for sliding off in the back. This has two advantages: 1., The desk sits more level in my lap because the cushion, which is higher in the back and angled, now places the taller side of cushion on the front; and 2., the bit of elastic strap that's in the upper left corner of desk now sits in the lower right corner and prevents mouse from sliding off, though mouse doesn't tend to slide around now cuz desk sits level.Just so you know, I leave the cushions in place, not folding the middle bit back to create more of an angle, raising that back of desk another couple of inches or so.The bumper at front of desk, meant to prevent laptop from sliding off, is useless since most laptops have rubber feet that don't tend to slide. I find it a nuance. I removed it so I could place my laptop further back on the desk--a better position for me. And why is there no bumper for the mouse that's supposed to slide? Not that I would need it for the way I'm using the desk. Also, I suppose a number of folks like having a slot for their phone but, for me, this is just in the way. I want a lap desk for my laptop, for heaven's sake. I don't need it to be a multi-tool.So yeah. The desk is decently made and the all-black version I bought is nicely obtrusive.
