This is the only edge taker that has worked for me. I'm type 4b 4a and I have tried just about every edge tamer on the market. Eco style, gorilla snot, got2b, hicks, etc nothing worked. My edges would be laid for 2min then they start to frizz and get unruly again. I saw this in my house (my mom got it) and I decided why not. I put a small amount on my edges brushed it down with my toothbrush went to work, came back and my edges were LAID STILL. Never going back to any other edge tamer. It has the consistency of hicks and kinda smells like it too (it doesn't smell bad) and it goes on clear
