Super easy install.
The power cord screws into a standard socket. Now the kitchen is accessible and doesn't drown the TV out.

Wiz is the best 🛜💡
Simply said. I have 80 Wiz lights in my home. The color could be slightly more vibrant but the app is solid and the devices connect and stay online for the most part 100%

Not the original Philips Wiz
Those are NOT the original Philips Wiz bulbs but rather the cheaper Wiz brand.. Avoid!!!I have 24 original Philips that work flawlessly and only 4 of those cheaper Wiz. Within a few months they started to malfunction.

6 inch retrofit
I bought this to retrofit a downright. Unfortunately, my downlights are not standard cans that can be retrofit with this style. However, I am a big fan of the WiZ system; even though this light isn't for me, the WiZ ecosystem is powerful, and doesn't require questionable license agreements to use their software (not that there isn't such an agreement, just that the terms are more reasonable than many other products).I was able to get this light to connect to my network, and integrate it with my IFTTT, but as I said, I was unable to use this.If it *is* the appropriate thing for you, though, I can confidently recommend this to you.

Not selling whats being marketed
I have another pair of wiz lights in my home which are the canned philips one. These are solid lights if you have cans, however what they are marketing are wafer lights not the canned lights

A nice WiFi, tunable white, downlight retrofit, with some shortcomings
This is a WiFi downlight retrofit that does not require an app/cloud control. That alone should give this light a 5 star rating, but there are a few caveats that took that last star away.Installing the downlight retrofit is trivial, as long as your cans already have C-clips. Neither the included instructions nor this product page give you clear steps on how to install the downlight into C-clips (the instructions show you bending the torsion springs, but they are far from clear). If I didn’t already know, I would have done it wrong. This would cause me to take a star off the product. In fact, the installation instructions stop at “step 6”, which tell you to push the retrofit back into the can. Missing is a “step 7” which tells you to turn on the breaker and then go to the app for setup. The Wiz app (on Android) is easy to use and straightforward. It walked me through setting up a “home” and a “room”, after which I was able to add this as a device in the room. It would be trivial to set up dozens of lights in this fashion, which was definitely a plus. Even better, you can do all this without creating a Wiz cloud account!! THAT IS A BIG PLUS. However, without the Wiz cloud account, you can only control your lamp when you are on the same network as your lamp. The ramp effect when the light turns on or off is smooth and nice. It can be adjusted in the app to be faster or slower, as needed.Other than the price (too high), a downside to this fixture is that it is only 750 lumens, which is not bright enough for me.Wiz lights allow direct local control on the local network, without the need to remote cloud servers. THIS IS A BIG PLUS. This means you can have local control of your lights via a home automation platform like Home Assistant or Hubitat.(Wiz, via their account, also supports cloud integrations with IFTTT, Alexa, Google, SmartThings and others)This product page has several errors. This lamp only supports 2700K-5000K, even though this product page says 6500K. This product page also says Bluetooth, but I find no way to control these over Bluetooth. Light most IoT devices, this only works over 2.4GHz Wi-FI.A big negative on this lamp is that it noticeably hums at any color temperature other than 2700K (Warm White) and below 5000k (Cool White). That means it hums when using Daylight (4000K). This is a significant issue if you want your lights to be outside the two extremes, or to have a ramp in color temperatures to match circadian lighting. This hum is what ultimately made me drop a star.Overall, this is a great WiFi downlight retrofit as long as (1) you only want 2700K or 5000K color temperature and (2) 750 lumens is bright enough for you.
