Q: Can you pair it with a subwoofer?

I'm not sure why everyone, including the manufacturer, can't correctly answer this question. Assuming your subwoofer is active as the overwhelming majority are, it will undoubtedly have RCA inputs and possibly high-level (speaker wire) inputs as well. The A-9150 has preamp outs which are exactly what you want to send to a subwoofer input. Ideally, the subwoofer has both L & R inputs. If it only has a single RCA input, just connect the left preamp out to it. Do not use a Y-connector. They are for splitting, not combining. If your subwoofer has high-level inputs, then you'd use speaker wire between the A-9150 and subwoofer. As you can see, the answer is yes in both cases. The answer from the manufacturer shows no knowledge of the product. The Line out is a fixed-level signal which means you'd have to go behind your subwoofer to adjust the volume every time to match the main speakers. Seriously, Onkyo? As for the person who talked about Bluetooth, most subwoofers do not have it though it's a moot point since the A-9150 does not have it.

Q: Would the a-9150 be a good preamp to a b &k st-202 power amp? my speaker are large and low efficiency (old saborhorns)

you would need 200 watts to power a set of saborhorns I know i have a set of saberhorn prototypes, that i restored new foam i am located in illinois where in the wprld did you find a set of saborhorns very rare 50 pairs made 1982

not sure since there is no tape loop monitor for the 901 equalizer
