Running strong and doing what it should.
6 months in and I’m still happy with my purchase. I’m using this primarily for an external monitor connection with my mac air. I occasionally use it to charge a device or two but haven’t used its other connections. It feels like a solid build and while it can get warm I haven’t had any temp related issues that others have mentioned. I would recommend it to others for the value and performance.

Ethernet port seriously confused my network
I had to send this back. Caused a very, very weird issue with my router.Check this out:AT&T (1000/1000 fiber connection) Modem bridged to Orbi Router and mesh wifi system. Orbi router has 3 x gigabit ethernet ports. Great. To these I connected a 20TB Drobo NAS, a Philips Hue Hub, and this Satechi USB-C hub. The USB C hub was connected to my late 2016 MacBook Pro.All fairly simple so far.Worked as you'd expect. MacBook Pro via the ethernet on Satechi could hit 950mbps up and down on Speedtest.com, where as on WiFi it would max out at around 500/500.However when I unplugged the Satechi hub from the Macbook Pro and go wirelessly wandering around on Wifi... my Drobo NAS disappears from the network, and my hue hub goes offline and I can't work my lights. Leaving me in the dark, literally and figuratively. How odd.I plug the Satechi hub back into my MacBook Pro and my Drobo comes back online, as does my Philips Hue system. WIERD. For days I assumed it was something about my Macbook Pro and the Orbi router causing issues with the Drobo and Hue when hardwired.Until...While troubleshooting, with my laptop on WIFI and the Drobo and Hue missing in action, I unplugged the ethernet cable from the Satechi USB hub. The hub wasn't connected to anything, just had the ethernet cable connected. I wanted the cable to test something else. The moment I unplugged the ethernet cable from the Satechi hub (which was the only thing the hub was connected to) the Hue system came online, and so did my lights, and my Drobo NAS... I plugged the ethernet cable back into the Satechi hub and they went offline again. So - I have no idea what this thing was doing to my network, but I shipped it back to Amazon for a refund ASAP.
