The protractor is a little flimsy, compass is sturdy. Together they make a great team. Gets the job done!

The compass is not broken! At first, it might seem confusing, but all you need to do is insert the pencil lead into the tip and then tighten it with the screw on the side. Once that’s done, it works perfectly for drawing circles and arcs. The set also comes with extra leads, a protractor, and a clear case, which makes it very convenient for school or office use. Great value!

The protractor is fine, but the compass is useless. There is no adjustment to make the lead level with the point. The compass will not hold the position you set which makes it difficult to draw a perfect circle. There is a set screw at the top of the compass, but it doesn't work. Seems impossible to draw a good circle.

This compass is made of the cheapest metals. When you put the lead in and tighten the screw, the lead just sweeps sideways even with the gentlest pressure. If you tighten the screw more, it bends the metal pincers that hold the lead in place. Also once you put the lead into place, it doesn’t fit in the protective case unless you remove the lead every time. The only reason this is worth one star is the protractor is fine.

As per the title I'm a bit unsure of the compass. So far it's worked for what I needed it for, but the screw doesn't seem to hold very well. Time will tell on the compass.Good protractor, my only comment is that I would have preferred cm/mm to be on the outside and not inches, but that's personal preference

The protractor is exactly what I wanted and as described. Excellent. I would have paid the price just for the protractor. The compasses are rubbish - fiddly to open and operate and cheap looking. I tossed them in the bin.
