A simple, basic knife.
We're not looking at a multi-tool here; this is just a simple folding knife without any extra frills.Does it work well as a knife? Absolutely. It's sturdy; one big concern I always have is blade wobble, and this is solid. It's actually a little difficult to flip the blade one-handed for my arthritic hands, though, so keep that in mind.Closing is the same old tried & true standard: Once you've got it fully open a tension bar pops out to prevent it from closing. Just slide the tension bar back to close.Overall, it's not an over-promising attempt at innovation in knives. It's a basic folding knife that does it's job well. It came sharp, too.. Really sharp. Serrated portion was fine too. Not sure how long it'll stay fine, but this is cheap enough that I'm not too worried about it.If you just want a knife to toss in the bag or carry around without fear of losing, this is a good option right here.Only reason it's not 5 stars is the one-handed operation is a little stiff. Sure, you could lube it up and work it a bit, but I gotta find something to complain about, right? :) Although I wouldn't mind some texture cuts along the opposite (non-knife) side of the closed handle just to make gripping it a little easier.

A Knife with Potential
Let me first admit my review of this knife is probably a bit harsh because my daily carry is a splurge that cost more than five times this one and I love it. For $20, it's obviously not fair to compare. That said...I got this knife to use as a "beater" so I didn't tear up my good one. First time out, I used the serrated portion to cut through some fence row growth and even pencil-thick branches. The blade was fairly sharp and performed admirably. The G-10 handle seems well made and I like it as a durable but lightweight material. The unusual ball-bearing pivot seemed a bit less smooth than I expected, but I usually disassemble knives, clean them and lube the pivot with a nano-oil, so that might fix it.Two issues were star-stealers for me:1. Most important was that the liner lock only engaged about half the width of its metal tang (kudos to SoFla Sail for also catching this in their review). Is the knife still locked open, yes. But its the difference between hanging from a bar with one hand or two. Which one is safer?2. Second issue is that I found the the way the handle was cut away to be a bit harder to grip - at least for my size Large hands. Had they designed a more full handle, it would have been more comfortable and easier to hold. I think this was a design choice in keeping with that knife's curved angles and slots. Incidentally, the slots in the handle and the blade look nice and are replicated as indentations on the handle, but being only vertical, they reduce the grip space. The grip would have been improved without the indentations, as the basic rough texture of the handle is good.To be fair, this is a $20 knife and a decent value. But, I have other $20 knives with none of these issues. So, a nice looking three-star knife.

Really like the feel of the handle
The media could not be loaded. This knife has three different blade shapes you can get, I got the normal blade shape as I will be using this a lot and wanted something that was easy to keep sharp. I really like knife blades with serrated sections to them, but trying to sharpen a serrated blade is a pain.It comes very sharp straight from the manufacture, which is a nice thing as you can use it right off the bat and not have to sharpen it first. I really like the material the handle is made out of, some sort of composite material. It feels good in the hand, has a nice grippy feel to it and won’t slip if it gets wet. It also has some cut outs in the handle so if you store the knife away with the blade wet, it’ll be easier for it to dry out. Also has a belt clip on the side, which is nice to have if you slip it into your pocket. The belt clip can attach to the edge of your pocket and keeps the knife easily accessible so it doesn’t fall all the way to the bottom of the pocket. All in all, I really like this knife, but the reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that there is a little bit of a catch after you first unlock the blade to store it away.It closes smooth otherwise, but you just have to be careful that you don’t put too much pressure on it when you’re first trying to close it and nick your fingers. 😳

Is a good $20 pocket knife.
I like that this knife was properly priced. This is definitely a $20 or less pocket knife. But I have high expectations in any blade I touch order or use. This is a good knife. It feels great in the hand. Open and closes easily. My only real complaint about this knife is that the blade isn’t all that durable. Even for a $20 knife I expect a little more edge retention. All this means is that it needs to be sharpened more often than other blades. Regardless I still feel this is a solid deal.
