These are easy to use, and they get the job done. I've deployed about 18 traps inside and outside the house, and they have helped me eradicate an infestation of mice and voles. I also caught several who had found their way into the house.Every now and then one of the traps breaks after 2-3 uses (the latching mechanism breaks). Otherwise, no complaints.

Removable bait cup is easy to fill. Trap is easy to set, but *very* sensitive to place. Much shock at all will trigger the trap. I recommend setting the trap *after* placing it where desired (e.g., by stepping on the mechanism with your toe). With that said, the trap worked great, catching a small black rat (by crushing its skull) before it even made contact with the (peanut butter) bait within only a few hours after placing it.

The trap works great and I've caught several big rats. But-----the little plastic trigger clip that is used to set the trap breaks off way to easy rendering the trap useless. 3 of 6 traps in trash after a month. Looks like a design flaw that needs more material to strengthen the snap set.PS I did drill a small hole and looped a wire thru it so I could attach trap and the bigger animals could carry off trap.

I bought the 6 pack in May 11th it’s May 29th and 2 are already in the trash. Our neighborhood has had a roof rat problem the past couple months. We’ve been killing a rat in these traps every 2 days. The plastic catch that holds the trap open wears down or breaks off after 10-15 resets of the trap. The traps are pretty sensitive, we’ve found the traps sprung almost every morning with the bait gone and nothing inside the trap. They are very effective at killing rats/mice. Manufacture needs to maybe come out with a second model that’s a little bit more expensive but has metal for the tab that sets the trap so it lasts longer. I’d probably buy these again because they did work, will probably try another brand of the same style if we think we need more traps when all of these are broken in a few days.

I was skeptical because of mixed reviews but within 15 mins of putting out one trap in the shop it caught a mouse. So long as you place the back against a sturdy surface, it can be placed anywhere and more than once. The trap worked quickly and did not make the mouse suffer. I highly recommend this product. Very sturdy and durable. Side note: wear gloves as to not leave your scent, I believe this helped in its effectiveness. Easy to use and clean up as well.(Also, I paid for this product. This is not a promotional review, but my honest experience)

I'm very impressed with this trap. I had assumed that only mice were getting under the hood of my vehicle, and on the patio, so i purchased glue boards. The glue boards worked well...trapped several mice with them, but something larger was taking the bait, and freeing itself from the glue boards. Going by reviews, this trap is what I ordered for larger critters. I placed one of these traps (baited with peanut butter) under the hood. The next morning i checked the trap...it had a rat in its jaws...and the rat couldn't free itself this time around. I reset the trap, and within 2 days it caught a mouse in the same location. Not only are the traps reusable, they are so fast acting that the rodent has no time to eat the bait. These traps really clamp down hard. No more glue boards needed.Great product!!!!!! I highly recommend.

I've been using the old school Victor wooden mouse traps ever since my grandfather taught me how to use one over 30 years ago. He was against poisoning and glue traps on moral grounds, and he liked how efficient the heavy bar and spring was at ending the animal's life without much suffering.I bought these because I encountered a rat smarter than the Victor.I'm thoroughly impressed with the design, because it prevents the animal from taking the bait unless they cannot access it without touching the pressure plate. It also does not require the person setting the trap to touch the bar again after it has been covered in rat fluids. At the same time, its super easy to remove the trapped rodent using the same motion you used to set the trap. Lastly, it killed both rats I've caught immediately. The trap was in the same spot I left it, and the rats had been trapped by their heads. One of the rats was larger than my size 13 foot, tip to tail

These aren’t as good as Tomcat traps as far as materials. Plastic that breakdown easily and not as effective. Easy to load but you have to be easy to set the trap or it will break. Haven’t caught anything yet to determine if easy to remove.Update: it’s helped some of the issues but the traps break easily when used reloaded to often.
