Gates TCKWP265A Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump

Always depend on Gates to provide quality product. However the tensioner was made in Turkey and, in my opinion, sub standard metal content allowing the hex key opening provided to allow wallowing out. Very frustrating and surprising considering the name involved.

When I replace the timming belt, the mechanic told me to change the water pump, since on the pt crusier, it is just right there, and the car had at that time almost 130k kilometers, so we take out the original wather pump, which it was still working, and installed this new one, but 30k kilometrers later the gates water pump starts leaking, so I had to replace it. I am not to happy with the water pump, the rest of the kit is still working

I had just installed this a week ago, for a 2007 P.T Crusier. Everything fit spot on. There was a note about the water pump not being the correct size and what i'd have to do to make it work, but the water pump was the right size so no problem. After a week everything is working properly!

My PT Cruiser has 98k miles on it, so I replaced the timing belt and water pump as recommended by Chrysler. This kit seems to be working perfectly.

I bought this kit for our PT Cruiser. We bought another car, so I took my time working on it. Until the weather warmed up, I didn't work on it for 5 months. After installing the kit and while doing other needed maintenance, I started the car often (never drove it). It ran great. While servicing the AC system one day, I heard a unusual noise while the car was running, and it stopped.After investing many hours into the car, I was ready to give up. My spouse loves the car and asked that I give it another try. After going through the procedure again, I discovered the belt was shredded. I picked up another timing belt (not gates). After installing the new belt, I noticed the belt was slipping off of the tensioner pulley as I manually turn the motor over. Apparently, the tensioner failed. I have had great success with gates products in the past. I'm a little disappointed this time around.

Gates is top of the line in auto parts used on my 05 caravan & the shipping was great got it in 1 day wasn’t supposed to be delivered until the next day

This fit great and water pump sealed like it should. No more coolant leak. Gates put a great kit together. Chrysler didn't really put a great car together. This job sucks a lot on the 2.4 in the 2006 sebring... so figure around 6 to 10 hours.....not kidding
