Great for Working in Public Spaces
This privacy screen is a game-changer when I work at cafes or on flights. It blocks side views really well without dimming my screen too much. Easy to install and remove. Now I feel much more secure working on confidential documents in public.

Does the job well with an unavoidable trade-off on screen brightness.
The fitting instructions were clear & simple. Wipes etc provided to clean the surfaces where the adhesive pads needed to stick. I've had it on my laptop for several weeks & everything is still well stuck but the privacy screen can be easily slid out of the tabs that hold it, if necessary. The privacy performance is very good. Recently tested on a flight & my colleague in the seat next to me could not see what was on my screen without leaning over.Inevitable that you lose some screen brightness - not specific to this particular screen. It's a necessary trade off of these screens regardless of manufacturer. However, it does mean shorter battery life as you need to turn up the screen brightness to compensate - but as mentioned it's easy to take the privacy screen off when you don't need it so that you can reduce your screen brightness & prolong battery life.

It's rubbish
I don't understand how this can be marketed as being compatible with laptops..The thing doesn't stick to my laptop screen. What a complete waste of money.Followed the instructions..is it supposed to float on top of the screen held only by those clear adhesive tabs?Or is it supposed to be statically charged and stick to the screen like most other screen protectors do?You will see on the photos that I have yet to peel the blue "step 2" protecting cover.do not waste your money buying this.I will be returning this absolute waste of time and money.Do not buy this product. It's 2025 and Amazon still lists it,even though I have just seen the "frequently Returned item" message on its page.I too will be returning this rubbish and getting my money back.Buyer beware.

Better than expected but... There's a but.
Fits my Z book Fury G8 17.3 perfectly. I mean, exactly.I want to be able to remove the screen filter and apply it only when I'm traveling on the train to avoid people seeing what's on screen. So I used the option involving the stick on guard rails . This works brilliantly.Great value so far. Here's the but. I can still see the screen clearly at over 30 degrees horizontal viewing angle. It's just slightly dimmer. And I can still just about see it at 45 degrees. As a result I'm not sure how much privacy this is really going to provide. Which defeats the object somewhat. All I can try is turning the screen brightness down and hope it's not not bright enought outside the plus or minus 30 degree view. Disappointed because I like to have a bright high contrast screen. Will give it a go over the next month and come back here to amend my review.

Works at an acceptable level, needed to trim 1mm off one of each sides to fit exactly
Happy enough with the privacy thing. According to the measurements of my screen and the measurements given in the listing, it should have fitted exactly, but I ended up trimming 1mm off one of each of the sides to get it to fit into the bezel of my Dell Rugged XFR5414. It cuts quite well with multiple medium-pressure cuts using a scalpel. The sticky things are tough to get the backing off, but once done fiddling, they are not too obvious, even with the display off. Once the display is on, they don't show at all. The whole thing has not affected the use of the touchscreen, so overall I'm quite happy with the result.UPDATE: One thing I didn't notice at first, which is a bit of draw back; The filter appears to make the make the display slightly blurred. I thought I would get used to this, but after a few days I took it off to see just how different it was, and it is very different. The display is nice and sharp again, so I have left it off, and won't be putting it back on.

Does the job
UPDATEI've been using the privacy screen since this last review (approx 6 weeks) and today I decided to remove it. Basically, it absolutely works as a privacy screen but it made it too dark for me personally and the shiny glare from the screen really irritated me, made it harder to concentrate, and so I decided to remove it.You can see in the blub above that is says "Switch sides at any time according to your needs". Bahaha. No. As I was lifting the screen, the sticky tabs are so strong it was putting pressure on the screen as it was getting lifted. Once I managed to get it off, the pixels were discoloured underneath where the tabs had been. They have thankfully returned to normal, I honestly thought I had damaged the screen. There are partial pieces of the sticky tab still on the screen though; the screen having lifted away in parts leaving the tab behind. Finally, upon removing the screen, I tried to lift the corner first. Mistake, because it was held on so tightly, instead I managed to separate 2 layers of the privacy screen instead. It's made it unusable if I did want to "switch sides".Overall does the job, but wasn't a long term solution for me. I'm happy to go back to my normal screen.Original post below:Does what it says on the tin and works well; from other angles aside from straight on, the screen looks black. I put it on a Dell Latitude 5330 laptop. However I only gave it 4 stars because: the screen brightness is noticably darker. As my first privacy screen I don't know if this is "normal" or darker than average. It's not terrible, but it's noticeable.Secondly the screen is held on by 4 clear sticky tabs which are noticeable. I assumed it was going to be like a phone screen protector and smooth with a full sticky back, but it's the equivalent of having sticky dots. They bug me for the aesthetic. Again, not sure if this is normal but at least it means the screen will be easier to remove.
