Good Hands-on explanations of the material

I've read some other books that are mostly heavy on the software/service side of embedded device hacking. This book has GREAT sections about UART/I2C/SPI, as well as in depth sections on different protocols and how to exploit those as well. Lots of detail/pictures/etc. If I had to pick a complaint about the book, it would be that some of the sections don't go into outlier cases - the scenarios and devices chosen are prone to be the best case scenarios (immediate root on UART, etc). That said - they provide additional reading material/links to assist you on your way, and I still give this book a 5 out of 5. I finished this book in a couple of days, and I want to read it again.

If you are serious about firmware and IoT hacking the author Gupta puts you right in the middle of the game for the small price here worth every penny I cannot say enough about the author I have had email communication with him and is a super nice guy. If you are doing any kind of compliance training and need to understand IoT this would even help you in this arena. LOVE THE BOOK

IoT Penetration Testing book better. funny though, either helped to write above mentioned book.

This book has everything you need to start hacking IoT devices. I needed something that was more geared for someone starting in IoT hacking without being overly novice and I felt this book was great and the examples were great.

Good Book

The book is very well detailed with pictures. It was very interesting to read and I found it very helpful for someone who starts IoT pentesting. There are not a lot of books on the market about this topic and it's a very useful book to have for IoT pentester.

Very nice. There are however several formatting errors.
