Very detailed and in depth
My son was struggling a lot with his gcse . He had low grades and had trouble understanding things as he is a slow learner. A teacher recommended these revision guides to us and said that they could help him. As a parent i would do anything up to help my child so I bought every single one of these books. Now after nearly a year of using them my son is doing very well on classes. Whenever he is stuck or needs to better understand something he goes through it in the book. It helps him very much and he is much happier and finds classwork and homework a breeze. Now my son is on track to get level sevens and eights which are very high. I can't not recommend this to anyone who wants their child to have a better future. These books are much better than the co ones as they are much more detailed and really gets the student to understand the topics unlike the co which just has brief summaries of everything.

TWO DIFFERENT BOOKS CLARIFICATION
Purchased because I have used Collins books for studying before and I like their uncomplicated way of presenting a subject. However, the promotion of this particular book on Amazon is complicated because there are two similar books. One is difficult to find and both were showing the exact same reviews (as of this date 21/9/17). I discovered the existence of the 2nd book because it was 'advertised' on the back inside cover of the first one, that I would not have purchased if I had understood the other's existence. Both books at first glance of the front cover picture look as identicle as their descriptions are. However, one book, in the bottom left hand corner of the cover, shows a red box with the words 'Revision Guide'. The second book shows a grey box with the words 'All-in-One Revision & Practice'. For ease, the remainder of this review shall refer to them as the red book and the grey book. The red book contains 144 pages, the grey book has 224. The contents of the grey book are identical to the red for the first 144 pages. The pages up to 144 in both books are in colour. In the grey book, pages 145 onwards are black and white.Pages 145 to 178 are the 'Workbook'.Pages 179 to 224 consist of 2 practice exam papers (both Higher Tier) followed by the answers. The Workbook black and white pages contents are an extension of the coloured pages Practise questions and are intended for higher tier studying. The coloured pages in both books consist of:- Contents pages which include check boxes for your study referencing, followed by clearly laid out and colour co-ordinated Revise, Review and Practise chapters. Both books are available as ebooks via the Collins website (purchase verification is required as part of the download processs). I found it very useful with previous studies whilst working with a revision book to be able to have the answer pages from the ebook on my tablet open simultaneously.I'm very pleased so far with the books contents, only two weeks into the course (I plan to work from the grey book because I want to study for the higher tier).Red book isbn: 978 000 8160 678. Grey book isbn: 978 000 8160 746.The grey book RRP is double the cost of the red book but I researched the suppliers and prices and including postage paid approximately the same price as the thinner less content red book.Addendum:- I wrote the above review within the Review Box for the grey book But it shows up as part of the red book reviews instead!I have tried to access the other book so that both will show this Clarifying Review but when I submitted the review the Amazon system treated BOTH books has having been reviewed, though they clearly havn't been.
