Tom Norton Walnut Drawing Ink - 290 ml bottle

Description

Walnut Drawing Ink (True Sepia Tone): This concentrated lightfast ink is handcrafted in the USA from premium imported materials. Its viscous consistency holds equally well on a brush or hand-dipped pen. Thinned with water as a light wash and layered, each successive overlay produces a darker shade. Areas or lines made directly from the bottle produce dense, almost shiny marks. Its rich warm character is reminiscent of marks seen in drawings by Tiepelo, Rembrandt and Fra Bartolommeo. As far as I know, there is no other ink on the market like this. Review: Good value, good color - Using a dip pen, it's mostly a medium tan. But it can also be a lot darker. It writes well. Seller sent me 250ml instead of 290ml but its a lot and still a good value. I'd buy it again, but I doubt I'll run out. Review: Poorly packaged by desertcart - I use this ink for calligraphy. Beautiful, rich color, no sediment separation, flows smoothly from the nib. But the plastic bottle was so poorly packaged by desertcart, I'm surprised it arrived intact.
