I brought them on a cruise, and they were a total game-changer for adding extra hanging space in the cabin—perfect for hats, towels, lanyards, and more. The magnets hold up to their 80 lb promise and don’t budge once in place. I’ve also used them in my classroom and kitchen, and they’ve held everything from decorations to utensils. The quality is top-notch, and having 10 in a pack is a great value. Highly recommend for travel, home, or school!

After reading all the reviews, especially the negative ones, I was thrilled with my purchase! The 40lb magnets are extremely strong. Once they were attached to the wall, they were hard to move. Nothing was broken or chipped. The black color was solid and very dark. The hooks attached properly to their bases. I will be buying more of these as the need arises.

I ordered these based on a recommendation from someone in a group I belong to regarding cruising. And I sure am glad I purchased them!The magnets come nicely packaged with the hooks unattached. You simply screw a hook into a magnet. In one of my photos, I have placed a fifty-cent piece and a quarter for size reference.I purchased these to take on cruises, but they can be used anywhere you want a strong magnet.Basically, all the doors and walls on the cruise ships are magnetic. These magnetic hooks can each hold up to 80 pounds, so they can handle anything you may want to hang on the walls or doors of your cruise ship stateroom.For the first time, we opted for a full suite on our last cruise. Even with the extra closet space, etc., there still wasn’t enough places to hang things like wet raincoats. And, the oversized bathroom still only had two hooks on the door next to the shower.These hooks came in so handy. We used them for hanging hats and jackets, we put them on the other bathroom doors for hanging clothing when showering, and we even hung the itinerary and daily newsletter.They are a little pricey at just over $2 a piece, but they are worth every penny. They come with the hooks detached, so you can just use the magnet if you want to, but they are VERY STRONG, so I encourage you to add the hook. It helps to have the hook to grab on to when you want to move or remove the magnet. They come in a convenient package, and the magnets are on a flat sheet of magnet. We even used the sheet on our cruise (it is holding the newsletter under our itinerary).Upon submitting my review, Amazon asks for the following ratings:Easy to remove – 4 stars – These are STRONG magnets. I did have some trouble removing one of them from a bathroom door on our cruise. Magnet is very strong and the hooks are well made. Giving 4 stars as they are smaller than I expected, but overall still work very well.

These will hold up to 80 lbs of weight. Excellent for use in staterooms on cruise ships were they have metal walls, holding up hats, towels, purses etc. if the item is a little heavier you can use 2 side by side.

These worked well on the boat for our clothes. Nice and strong magnets.

Rating this a 3 because it advertises as 80 pounds but we tested these and they can hold a little under 5 pounds before they start to slide down or fall off the fridge. We got them for a cruise we are going on so we could have extra options for hanging a toiletries bag or purses etc. they are nice and easy to put together and will work for holding what we want them to since we won’t be hanging anything heavier than 5 pounds anyways, but the advertising for 80 pounds is a joke. I have pictured a purse we use as a diaper bag that has some diapers and a full size new package of wipes, it weighed 4.8 pounds and that was about the max the hook could hold.
