This was a great addition for my tractor snowblower shoot. Worked well during the summer when I installed it and worked good during the first few winter storms we had. The only issue I had was that the further it got cold out, the worst it got because it would freeze and wouldn't move. I understand that I am using in a creative way, definitely should have bought something more heavy duty. But no complaints about buying it.

I wanted to wait a while before reviewing this because I was concerned about longevity from such a relatively inexpensive linear motor. But "so far, so good" ... and I'll update this review if/when it fails at a later date. (Whoops; see update below.) I'm using it to open a fairly heavy wooden "man gate" in my backyard fence, and it has plenty of power to do so. I teamed it up with a remote fwd/reverse controller ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSN27T1D ), which worked out perfectly. I'm a little suspicious of its IP54 claim, but we've had tons of rain here and it's holding up well. I may add a simple rain cover for it soon, for additional protection from above. Update: At the 9 week mark, my fence gate had swollen with rain so that it wouldn't close all the way. But the motor was trying its darndest to close it. I found the gate problem some days later, and the motor had burned out. No fault of the motor, but beware that it WILL burn out if you keep power applied for a long period of time without it being able to move to its STOP open or close positions. Update 2: I ordered a replacement, and once it arrived I installed it onto my fence -- and found that its CLOSE position was about 1/8" shorter than the first one. The drilled hole in the rod is in the same position relative to its end. The issue seems to be that the STOP limit switch adjustment is a little different between units. It would be great if there was access to adjust those open and close limit switches, but there is not. So I had to move over my fence bracket that 1/8" to compensate.

Excellent actuator. Easy to use. We made pop-up 3d animal targets using this and an arduino kit.

Installé sur la chute de souffleur sur mon tracteur. Pas le plus rapide mais travaille bien. Je le recommande !!!

This was a replacent to the one that no longer works because the hen sat in the doorway while the door was closing and it squished her. I guess small brains are a real thing. Anyway, it was easy to switch out and connect it to the DPDT switch and the chicken door is now working as designed. Closes after they are in the coop to keep them safe while they sleep and opens at dawn to let them roam the yard. I love the convenience of it all.
