Good and stable for touchups on the bottom and sides of bowls. The extra long handles and heavy blades make them nice and stable.

Great value for the money... they only require a good sharpening, as the factory grind is a bit lacking, as typical for most new wood turning gouges, regardless of manufacturer.

These were pretty sharp out of the box. Worked great for a bowl I was turning.

I just got these in the middle of afternoon while doing some wood turning and after a brief session I’d sharpening into negative rake scrapers they were preforming very nicely! They were nicely ground so it didn’t take much work to modify them. Nice handles nice heft. Two tools for less than what you might spend for one tool!! I will buy more of these.

For this price u can not go wrong

The tools are priced lower than many others, but there are different types of steel with varying degrees of hardness which determine how well they will retain being sharp. If you are doing this as a hobby then these will probably work for you if you don't mind keeping them sharp. They will last a long time and feel solid. I gave them this rating based upon comparing them to higher priced tools. So you use your own judgement.

These are amazing quality for the price. You couldn't ask for better. They are thick and heavy duty, also very straight and true. They seem to be of quality high speed steel. They come mildly sharp but are easy to sharpen. I tend to put custom edges on my tools anyway. They are nicly balanced and comfortable to use. If someone told me they were more expensive, I'd believe them. The case is a nice added feature although I tend to keep all my tools together.

These round scraper chisels are very thick and of good quality used them to flatten the bowls that eye have turned would buy them again very good tools

Good value productfor the hobbist

At half the price of quality chisels, and based on other reviews I thought I would give them a go. I was only buying round side scrapers so figured they didn’t need to be high end. Like others have said, they’re coated with heavy lacquer. I couldn’t find my acetone, so I just started using them with the lacquer still on them. Haha, worked fine, it comes off anyway.

The 2 Benjamin Best scrapers arrived in a fabric carrying case. They are very heavy duty, quite thick and substantial. So far I have only used one a bit. It sharpened fine and did what I needed. I can think of no negative aspects so far. They were inexpensive, arrived as stated, and look very good.
