Quality Bar and (was) affordable with Super Saver Shipping
When combined with other purchases to qualify for free shipping ,this bar (did) cost less than half of any 60 inch bar locally. The bar shipped separately & took 3 more business days to arrive than the other items. Well worth the wait. This is not a "promotional" quality bar. It is thick, hard and heavy. It brutally flakes damp heavy clay into manageable sized chunks. It is bit shorter & lighter than "standard" digging bars but I can't imagine the typical homeowner needing anything more. ***UPDATE 8/2015 the price has more than _doubled_ on this item since I bought it a year ago- It's _ not_ such a great deal now. Still a good bar though****

Great for Losening Soil, Prying Not So Much...
This bar is surprisingly heavy and substantial and it worked very well in helping to dig a post hole. However while it worked well for that I also needed to pry the old concrete out of the ground from the old post which did not go as well. It was trying to bend from the strain of trying to leverage the concrete so I had to stop using it. It did work great in breaking up the hard clay dirt I have but I believe it would bend pretty easily as I am a female and definitely not the strongest person in the world and it was trying to bend anyway. It was a great price compared to others and it did do a great job with digging which is why I gave it 4 stars I did deduct one star because it was trying to bend with very little pressure though.

Awesomeness
This bar is the best tool value in the world, pound for pound. For less than $14, INCLUDING SHIPPING, you get a 14 pound bar that will demolish or lever anything a human is able to subject it to. I am a 255 pound power lifter, and I got this tool to remove a volunteer oak tree butted up against my sidewalk, with the tap root angled under the concrete. I attacked it with a 5 pound mattock and could not get the proper angle of attack to sever the root. With this bad boy, it took four vertical pops to break through the root, problem solved. I can't wait to use it for future projects- I am acrtvely seeking them out now, given such a beastly tool at my disposal.Recommended with highest confidence- you will love this bad boy, and will enjoy using it as long as you are able, for any applicable project, and for the rest of your life.

Not indestructible, but indispensable for tough jobs.
This tool bent on the second day... and it earns all four of it's stars. Why? Because I was using it to remove 36 square feet of bamboo. To a person who hasn't removed bamboo, you might think "what's the big deal with removing bamboo?". I would suggest A. Trying to remove bamboo yourself or B. searching the internet for the multitude of individuals trying to remove bamboo and wanting advice. Now, 36 square feet that might not sound like a lot of bamboo, but it was contained in a barrier and the rhizomes (roots) were crowding on the sides. It took maybe 30-45 minutes to dig out a section 18 inches x 18 inches.I would suspect I'd have to pay a laborer 3 to 4 times what I paid for this tool for the same impact. It's great to put all of your weight on it and hear a "pop" as a root disconnects. Why only four stars? Well, it bent.I also used it to remove some rocks lodged in the clay. They didn't stand a chance.

Great price. Quick, free delivery.
Paid fifty bucks for same style bar from Lowes a few years ago. Can't say if it bends easier than the other bar but seems fine especially considering the price. I'd say move on this one quickly while the price is right8/3/15: I bent the bar prying rocks out of a post hole, but only a little and just a few inches from the pointy end where I had a lot of leverage. Price has gone up a few bucks now but still the best buy on a bar period8/10/15: Fml! Left my bar at a job far from home. Ordering two more today while they're being offered for a dollar a pound w free shipping. Hopefully I can pick up my old one if I get back into that area but I really like these bars and the price is cheap enough you could make a few bucks reselling them. Anybody in the market for a bar would give you twenty bucks on the spot

It's the first I've used, but I like it.
It'll bend, but I'm not going to say it bends easily. I don't have much to compare it to, but I don't suppose bars like this come in samurai steel or that I'd pay for it if they did. I think it's about as heavy as I'd like, and not flimsy for its size and weight. I used it to leverage concreted fence post pillars out of the ground, and to widen fractures and spread pieces of six-inch slab. The ends seem bulletproof. The bar flexes and springs back under quite a bit of force, but when I tried to leverage most of its length and bounced my full weight on it to move something that just wasn't going to, it did bend. I was able to flip it and bend it back the same way though.
