These are a very nice and sturdy combination that, when filled with clay ball media,, had supported everything from 4' pepper plants to Brussel sprouts. Being able to remove just the pot makes working with them a lot easier, but they fit together tight enough that you don't notice it's a 2-piece design. These are of considerably heavier construction than the 1-piece units I've purchased in the past. Great for Kratky method growing. The basket slots are Goldielocks just right and easy to clean without damaging for reuse.

I'm growing all kinds of peppers and tomatoes in mine, they work great with some clay pebbles to hold the plants in place. They're really sturdy and I like the fact that the cups are seperate from the part that attaches to the 5 galon buckets so you can check your roots without having to pull the lid off the bucket everytime, speaking of the bucket I don't know if its intended or not but, mine did not fit snuggly onto the bucket I was using (lowes 5Gal. buckets) not a big deal for me but might be for others.

These fit well with the Root Halo devices I reviewed. Good quality and functionality.

Wonderful product. Cheap but still effective!

I got these to make mosquito larvae traps. They fit perfectly on the top of a 5 gallon bucket. They don't snap on, just sit on the top, which is what I wanted because it's so hard to get those snap on lids back off. A few handfuls of straw or hay in the bucket, add water to just about cover the straw, let ferment for 3 days, add a mosquito dunk, put on this lid with holes, and the mosquitoes go in, lay their eggs, and go back out. The larvae will be killed. Seems to be helping so far, as I am prime mosquito bait and am not being eaten alive. I also use an organic kid/pet friendly spray that doesn't affect lightning bugs and the other good insects, to keep the adult mosquito population down. Attacking from both sides, larvae and adult, allows me to actually be outside! I love these lids! Exactly what I needed!

These fit my 5 gallon buckets perfectly. I use these for my hydroponics setup up . For a few bucks more it’s already built.

This does not fit onto a standard 5 gallon bucket. It is larger and will not snap in. This causes condensation to drop on the floor in large amounts. It may fit some special buckets, but you don't own those buckets. Also the baskets are separate from the lids and don't snap in, had to drill holes and screw them in so the plants don't fall over, didn't matter the plants still fall over since the lids don't snap onto the buckets. Get a name brand, like vivasun or ac infinity. The up side is the size of the basket is small and won't waste the hydro beads, my original goal
