SNARKGuitar Tuner (SST-1)

I like these new Snark tuners with the rechargeable battery compared to the older version with the battery. Hugs snugly to the guitar head, tunes perfectly. I will buy more for the rest of my guitar and bass collection.

Great tuner, accurate and functional. Saves me money because it’s rechargeable and it’s the perfect size to take along.

I love this little tuner. It just clips on the headstock of my guitar and I can easily turn it on or off with a push button. It tunes accurately and easily. But I am most amazed by the charge it holds!!! It charges with a USB plug in. I charged it in April when I got it and it's now January 1 and I haven't had to charge a second time YET!!! I play nearly everyday so I use it often. Of course it takes only a minute to tune and then I turn it back off, but seriously, a single charge has held for 9 months and it's still showing 1/2 charge remaining!!! The head of the tuner swivels too which is nice because no matter the angle I'm holding the guitar, sitting or standing, once the tuner is clipped on the headstock, I can just swivel the face of the tuner to easily see the reading. If red, I'm flat, if green, I'm sharp and if blue, I'm in tune. It's just that easy. Get this!! You won't be sorry.

Nice improvements: a case to protect the tuner, which in the past I've accidentally damaged in gig bags or in other ways that a case eliminates. Also, the old ones had 3 flimsy plastic tabs that held the tuner head to the clamp, and I've had a couple that when one of those little plastic tabs breaks, you have a useless tuner head and a nice clamp for bags of chips, etc. They were good, but did have those limitations due to poor design, and these appear much sturdier. Plus this one's rechargeable with an included USB cord, so no more 2032 batteries. I'm happy with these improvements. One thing that surprised me is the warning not to use on any Gibson guitars or guitars with nitrocellulose finishes. Wonder what that is actually about, but since I no longer have any Gibsons, no worries for me.

I just got this for my 10yo son who recently started playing guitar. I think this is a very convenient and easy to use tuner for him as he learns to tune & play guitar. Very easy to use and seems pretty accurate so far. Much better than some older tuners I own (which also require batteries and plugging in a cable, as the mic is not accurate). Super small, but easy to read. Seems like good quality and value. We will see how it works long terms (like battery life, durability, etc)

I love this tuner! It clips on and is out of the way. Holds a charge for a long time!

I've had a bunch of different Snark tuners over the years. I like them because of their great convenience, BUT... Some of the ones I have can be hard to read, some have on/off buttons that are hard to operate, some of them sometimes do a lot of wavering and refuse to settle down on a consistent value. This one is super bright and easy to read, and it settles quickly and firmly on a tuning value. Buying another today.

I have three Snark clip on tuners and they all work well. They are inexpensive, easy to use and accurate enough. A strobe tuner may be slightly more accurate but I'm not spending the time to get the last 1/2% accuracy... since it will naturally go out of tune with temperature and humidity changes anyhow. Recharging is pretty quick and a charge lasts me several months and I tune before each practice session.
