We bought a houseboat this year and it came with a big 4 burner hotplate that was rusty and heavy and took up all the space in our small galley. This one is perfect it takes up less than half the space and works really well. While it would be nice to have 4 burners I've never really had a need for more than two burners at a time. The price of this one is such a great value. The unit itself is the perfect size for our small galley it doesn't take up alot of space and can be left out on the counter for permanent use but I prefer to put it away when not in use. It fits perfectly for storage ontop of our microwave in it's little cubby. It's the same size length wise and about half the width. The unit is easy to clean & store. Both burners can be used at the same time with medium sized pots/pans. The unit is lightweight making it easy to move around. It cooks food evenly and gets nice and hot. Boils water and cooks meat the same way any stove top ive used does.

Cheap table top radiant or coil units do not have capacitors such as induction or real stoves. So you wont get a steady temp like those other types, so the temperature of the stove top has to turn on and cut off within 5-10 degrees to compensate for the lack of a capacitor. This is not a negative, it is a function of cheaper units which serve a purpose, as in cheap people do not want to pay more, enter entry level table top radiant/coil stoves, end of story. Coils may go on/off less then radiant, try one and find out if this really bothers you. I would be careful with this unit, the entire thing gets hot even below, so at least beware of that. I find this unit very adequate, plenty hot to boil water or fry foods. Read the instructions, see how the temp difference from the small burner versus the large. The small burner is mostly a warmer, except for level 5, by design. A great item to have when our old electric stove top fails, which sadly is often. I do not expect this to last years as this price point, I will be happy if I get a year as much as we might have to use it. Read the directions, unplug after use! .

I hate electric Fondue pots for e to the lack of precise temperature control. We really like Fondue but paying $200 for repeated visits to the local fondue restaurant of e simply not feasible. So, I decided to find a way to make Fondue at home. A dual burner hot plate seemed to be the best approach, which would allow for broth and cheese to be heated and kept warm at the same time, at different temperatures. This burner has done a fantastic job. Any pot that I have laying around works great. The burners heat quickly AND hold the required temperature. Unlike an induction burner that scared me every time I used it because I could smell wires burning. This hot plate performs exactly as needed for Fondue. On the keep warm settings, the cheese stayed arm enough for dipping bread but never burned. On 4, the broth maintained a simmer. As we added food to the broth, the temp would need to be raised but it didn't take long. The smooth surfaces of the hot plate make it easy to wipe clean and it's compact size and reasonable price make it perfect to keep around for infrequent use.

The Ovente countertop burner with ceramic glass is an excellent addition to any kitchen, surely. It heats up very fast, and very hot provides an easy-to-use device that does not take much to place & start using and eventually gives excellent cooking results as soon as you get used to it. However, that's only in the first couple of months of using the product. I bought it because I wanted an alternative to cook things that didn't use gas. This way I could prepare foods such as omelets, fried & boiled eggs, sausages, etc. that didn't take much time and still receive a great result. But after two months of getting a more-than-decent experience, the burner started to have a few problems. Firstly, the burner started to lose the indication numbers for heat level. This started happening in the first month, without the numbers it started to become a little difficult to know what was the heat level, until I got accustomed and made the indications myself with a permanent colored marker. It was a bit problematic, but nothing out of the ordinary. Secondly, the burner turned on and off while heating. It was a sort of heat protection (I think) that keeps the device from overheating. The problem with this is that the first three levels of heating didn't work when the device sensed overheating. Really I couldn't say what that was, but it happened every time I used the burner for more than 5 minutes. It eventually got annoying to hear the burner go on and off, and a little frustrating I could use the first three levels. However, of course, I could live with this. Thirdly, the ceramic glass on the large side fell off after two months of use. I bought this burner in July and started using it in August. By October, the ceramic glass on the large side of the burner fell off. I don't know how it was attached to the device, but the glass separated from the metal and was sliding off from its place every time I had to place/move the device. I tried gluing it to the device again with temperature-resistant glue, but it fell off two weeks later once again. So it left it like that. Until yesterday. Yesterday while cleaning the device, I turned it 90º by mistake, and the ceramic glass fell to the floor. Here, you can imagine what happened later. A bunch of broken glass I had to swipe off, and an almost useless large burner on the device that I don't know how to fix. So, I could say this device works well when it comes to performance. It may become a little problematic after a month or two, but nothing that would really damage your cooking. However, it is not as dependable or resistant as you would hope. I used it almost every day, so it is easy to say that I might have overused it. However, of course, that's not an excuse for a product that should have lasted more, or at least not give that many problems in such a short period. I give it three stars because it performs well, but it loses two because it could be a little more durable & reliable. Overall, however, it is a great option for the price, as long as you are going to use the device every now and then, and still being aware that after a few hundred uses it could start presenting a few issues.

Aunque la hornilla grande calienta mucho, no es suficiente como para freír cuando se usa un sartén grande, la disipación del calor es mucha. Tendría que ser uno de más wattaje, pero funciona adecuadamente para lo que quiero.

Would recommend this cooktop for sure…100 percent. It’s saved me from breathing in burning metal… helping to stop lung damage. Very grateful!

El producto es bueno, calienta de forma muy rápida, es facil de limpiar, por alguna razon vino sin una patita, pero como ya no habia disponibles para otra compra, decide no devolverlo. Pros Calienta muy Rápido ambas Parrillas Es muy fácil de Limpiar Buenos Materiales de Construccion Contra Vino si una goma que funciona como apoyo. Se borraron los numero del dial Muy Rápido, deberían considerar colocar los números en el la estructura principal en lugar del control de temperatura.
