I only need 3 sides but want the top. If I order a 4 side unit can I still attach the top?

Yes you could, you would need to drill some holes & bolt together..a word of warning they are very light alloy metal, so you might have to fasten to your wall or they will keep blowing over. They are definitely not worth the price but they Match my dark wood lodge so they are perfect for me
