Golf Swing Trainer

If you've never had a lesson before and struggle with power and consistency, this is overwhelmingly probably for you. Now once you understand the one thing it teaches you it becomes worthless, but it's cheaper than a golf lesson. Or I could just tell you to get a mirror and search youtube for how to create width in your swing.

I take lessons at the PGA Superstore in Scottsdale, AZ. The instructor had one of these and placed it on my arm and it seems to help with remembering how to position my arm. I'm 6'5" and this is my first try at the game of golf. The price seems steep for a piece of plastic and velcro. Oh well...

This training aid basically makes sure you can only bend your right elbow 90 degrees in the backswing. It's nice for those of us that tend to let the right elbow collapse at the top, losing width in the swing arc. The price was a bit steep and I found it a little uncomfortable to find a tightness for the strap that kept it on my arm but didn't get too tight during the swing. I would buy this again if it were $10 or $15, but not much more than that.

Absolutely worthless!! Don't even think about it. My swing actually got worse after use. I did even bother returning -- just threw it in the trash.

This is a good tool to let me know when my backswing is well below the proper swing plane, that my swing is too flat. When my swing is too flat, this device makes it difficult to fold my lower arm against the upper arm. Then I know that the backswing is too flat. When that happens, it 's time to abandon that backswing and start the entire swing over instead of trying to continue into the downswing and try to recover from a poor position. There are 2 reasons why I didn't give this 5 stars. First, I wish it was a little larger, and 2nd, it slides around on my upper arm too much.
