I work in a research lab, and we purchased this pump to do some testing with face masks for COVID-related research. It runs both smooth and quiet (for a pump - it is a pump!), and this is despite it being a piston-style pump. i.e. it doesn't have the typical "whap-whap-whap" you typically would expect with a piston pump. It does make noise though but it is reasonable and less than I would expect. It seems very well built too. The outer shell area does tend to get a little hot - but I think it is designed to get hot during use as there is a "hot do not touch" icon sticker on it. It also had a slight "new machine" smell coming from it during early use - kind of like the new-car-smell thing, so likely, not its important. Overall, this is a very good pump!

I use it every work day. it runs for hours sometimes. Very quiet and solid built. I use it to vacuum clamp things for my cnc to cut. I got videos of it in use i would like to post. When my operation expands I will buy more this exact same pump. I used a handy u tube video to build a vacuum hold down pump system and this vac pump is the heart of it.

We've been using this pump with our Simple Pulse milking machine for several months now. It's worked flawlessly and is a huge improvement over the oil-filled pump we were using. I wanted to get a month or two on it before I reviewed it. The only criticism I have with it is that at the point where the wires enter the pump body, the wires weren't trimmed enough inside of the pump and they push the bushing off of the pump body so the colored wires are plainly visible going from the wire jacket into the pump body. Looks tacky and I'm a little concerned about the wires breaking at that point. I've reset the bushing three times now and it keeps popping out. And it looks like it would be a royal pain to open it up and shorten the wires... Still a much better pump that the oil misting vacuum pump we were using.

Very impressed with the fit and finish, and very quiet running. Used it for up to 6 hours continuous so far in several vacuum lamination veneer glueups, I am getting 28 inches of mercury. Carry handles are handy, as well.

So far so good, I have less than 1 hour on the motor at this point and will update the review in the future. The seller included an air barb and muffler for the unit which is really good because it might have been frustrating to get those.The unit is throwing a good amount of heat as expected so install is important, I will end up bolting this unit to a shelf likely.
