Simple, inexpensive way to protect the edge of your counter while providing a dense stable surface for tamping. Very sturdy and stays in place during usage, which is not my experience with thinner pads.My favorite thing about this is the cutout for the tamper. It's perfectly sized.

I have small counters in my apartment and this little tamper mat fits nicely. Its easy to clean and wash of, its a little too flimsy for my liking but its still good to use. I use a bottomless portafilter and works perfect for tamping. I enjoy it! its a good price point.

Pleasantly surprised when I received the SANTOW silicon tamping mat. High quality silicon with a nice smooth texture. The mat is 6.5 mm thick and raised to 7.5 mm around the edge. A little on the small side but fits perfect in our kitchen. Definitely will protect our granite counter top. I recommend it as a good purchase.

Does it exactly what it says it does! Keeps my coffee area clean and is easy to clean up any messes. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who has a coffee machine or just wants to keep a small area clean. It is also nice to be able to use the dish washer to clean it off when it gets even more dirty.

This silicone tamper mat makes clean up so much easier! It’s creates a nice little sturdy spot for tamping coffee grinds. When I’m done I simply rinse and reset for the morning. It’s a neat little deal for the price.

If you have a coffee-making setup at home, then you know a tamping mat is a must-have. SANTOW's silicone tamping mat is a pretty good option if you're looking for one.It's shaped very nicely (to fit over your kitchen counter, and it has raised edges). It has a good surface area to work on. It also has a spot for your tamper, which should fit most sizes.Unfortunately, it's not perfect. When you first unbox the mat, it will have that distinct plastic stink; so wash it (and/or air it out) before using it if you can. But the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that it doesn't have the strongest grip on your counter. This silicone mat glides around more than others I've used in the past.The price is alright. You can find some cheaper ones with some compromises (smaller size, no raised edges, etc.), but this item is a good buy if you're starting to explore this hobby.

This is a must-have for any coffee/espresso bar, or espresso lover. Anyone who makes espresso knows the annoyance of trying to find a surface to tamp the portafilter without damaging your table or countertops.This tamper mat is perfect and ideal for exactly that! It fits perfectly on the corner of any table or countertop, and is a nice thick rubber that does not damage or weaken when tamping. It's a good size overall which helps in collecting any overflow of espresso grounds when levelling off. Because it's rubber, it does not slide or move if you have it on a smooth surface, and it's very easy to wash off and can be stored away neatly in a draw or cabinet taking up little space.

This mat is an excellent addition to my coffee counter. It contains and spills of coffee grounds, and enables me to tamp my portafilter with minimal to no mess. If I do spill, it is easy to take the silicone tray to rinse in the sink.

Decent tamping mat for your espresso needs, but this comes in at $29CAD which is pretty expensive for just a piece of rubber. There are other options for cheaper that work just as well
