Took a minute
I bought this alongside the LG S90QY sound bar. Even though I had everything plugged in correctly, the WOWCAST kept blinking white. Also, my TV (also an LG) wasn't finding my sound bar as an HDMI ARC device. As a bluetooth device, the TV found the soundbar with no issues. I kept checking the cables, double checking (and even doubting myself) that I plugged this into the correct HDMI port (I did). Even though I downloaded the LG app, and it let me update the firmware on the sound bar, I wasn't getting anywhere. So, I finally just unplugged the power from everything, and then plugged it all back in. All better!Works like a charm now. Best audio I've ever heard? Probably not. Best for the money (bought it on 40% off sale) and considering it actually works, certainly.I had a Bose sound bar prior to this one, and despite everything I ever tried, including contacting Bose and LG it never worked through HDMI-ARC. And that was with a direct cable connection!! I'll never buy another Bose product again, for that reason specifically.

seems to connect easily to LG TV, Sound is great!
Connection to TV, WIFI and phones works well. From technical page, assumed voice connection as well. Does not voice connect.+

Out of sync within hours.
I hooked up the WowCast to a brand new LG tv and brand new LG sound bar and it seems to work fine. But after a couple hours of watching tv, the sound gets out of sync with the picture. You have to shut everything down and power back on then back in sync. LG support was not helpful at all with suggestions. Ultimately, I connected them with a hdmi cable and the sync issues have gone away.

Small but mighty
So here’s the story, I have an Apple TV connected to a Hue synch box that’s connected to the sound bar to finally connected to the TV. This setup has been a nightmare to say the least. Screen would black out, I would lose audio, or delayed response time. The LG wowcast has solved all these problems! I am now enjoying my Hue lights effects and Dolby Atmos sound with maximum compatibility and ease of use. Cables to the TV are not completely eliminated as I do have to connect 1 HDMI cable from the Hue Synch box to the TV so (Apple-Hue-Tv). But that’s not a problem for me at all.Highly recommend this device, cheap, invisible and effortless to use.

Works great! Seems slightly unnecessary though
Works like a charm! It does have some quirks with pairing ... but ya know ... technology. If you're really into cable management, and achieving a sleek look ... not having the HDMI cable involved is nice.

Did not work for Wow Orchestra only
I have an LG SC9S soundbar/subwoofer hooked up to our LGOLEDG383 television. That soundbar is really made for the "C" TV's, with a bracket to fit onto them, but I got it at half price from Costco. It sits on the cabinet below the TV and works fine. Anyway, I have it connected via HDMI cable through the ARC channel. I bought this thing because I wanted to add Wow Orchestra--playing the TV speakers along with the soundbar. But I did not want to use the WowCast feature--wireless transmission to the soundbar--because I think wired is almost always the best choice.LG Support told me I could do this. They said I could buy this WTP3 audio transmitter and plug its HDMI cable into a regular HDMI port on the TV--not the ARC HDMI port, which was already occupied by my wired connection to the soundbar. (Instructions for this say you must plug the HDMI into the ARC port.) They said WowOrchestra would then appear as an option in my TV settings and I could have TV speaker sound to go along with the soundbar output. No Wowcast but Wow Orchestra. So I tried that. Well, nothing LG Support told me turned out to be the case. No choice of Wow Orchestra in the TV settings, for a start. And pretty much nothing would work right. The TV speakers would be working but the soundbar was silent. I would mess around with settings and then the soundbar would work by itself but my Apple TV remote would not work, even though Simplink was on and it had been working fine. And then no sound at all and weird blinking and talking from the soundbar. On and on. So, I contacted LG Support again (via X messaging). This time, they knew nothing about using a non-ARC HDMI port, just told me how to set it up for WowCast and could only give me instructions for that. As though the people I had talked to the day before had gone home and these people had no access to the prior messages. At that point, I threw in the towel, disconnected the WTP3 transmitter, turned the TV and sound bar off and back on and we were back where we started, with sound coming from the soundbar and my Apple TV remote working fine. So, maybe this device would have worked OK had I gone with the WowCast connection, which is what it is made for. Probably would have. But trying to use it just for Wow Orchestra, using LG Support's instructions was just a massive cluster-you-know-what. In case you had that in mind, I don't recommend it.
