I needed a second charger for my Surface Laptop to keep in my travel bag, so I wouldn't have to constantly pack and unpack the one from my desk. I was a bit hesitant to go with a third-party brand, but the price of this one was too good to pass up compared to the official Microsoft version. I’m glad I gave it a shot, because it works flawlessly. Right out of the box, it felt solid and well-made. I'm using it with my Surface Laptop 5, and it functions exactly like the original. The magnetic connector snaps on securely with a satisfying click, and the charging speed is identical. The 65W power brick provides plenty of juice to charge the laptop quickly, even while I'm actively using it for work. Honestly, the best feature might be the length. The extra length is a significant improvement over the standard charger, giving me much more flexibility when I'm at an airport or coffee shop where outlets are never conveniently located. The power brick gets slightly warm during charging, but no more than the original ever did. Works great, I initially plan to purchase this charging cable to take on travel for my surface pro, so I can leave the OEM Microsoft charger at home. I really like the extension cord which plugged into the main unit. So this charging cable will serve as a spare charging cable for my surface pro laptop. This item was well packaged, it came in its nondescript brown box and shipped inside an Amazon branded box, for extra protection. It works great, the indicator light, lights up when I plug it into my surface pro, and it works like the OEM charging cable, but at a fraction. Great value. I just hope it last!

It lasted about 1.5 years until the cord wore out at the connection to the little box on the wire, exposing the wires beneath. So now I'm going to replace it.

This quit working after 3 charges.

The first one sent had a battel convector on the end so returning it. Meanwhile, they sent the proper one with the Surface Pro 7 specific connecter within days. Exactly like my original and works like it should. Plus, excellent price.

Product arrived very quickly and worked like a charm.. I was worried because of the higher wattage, it would effect the performance but the charger only takes in what is required from the surface and hence there is no issue.. Its only been a week but hope it lasts quite a while..is almost as good as the Surface charge so far..
