Igloo Gripper Soft Sided Cooler Bag, Insulted Dual Compartment Lunch Cooler

Dad cooler. I bought this cooler for my dad for father's day and he loves the size. It hold around 6 beer cans. Room on the top for ice packs. It looks like a little lunch box but nicer. This is perfect to take to the pool for the afternoon or to the lake. It kept the drinks cold all day.

This cooler is perfect for two people. I put in some skinny bento ice packs (one or two) and you have a good packed lunch later. Love it!

Definitely roomy and seems to be made of decent construction. Bought it for the hobby to use for work lunches. I’m worried about the weight with the handle overtime but hoping it holds its shape and lasts awhile. Exactly as shown.

I use it for work as a teacher at a school. It is built well enough that it doesn't tear, or ruin the ziper. It keeps soda cool and works very well. Easy to clean.

I had one of these bags before for about 7 years and the second of the zippers on the main compartment broke, prompting the need for a new bag. I thought I had good luck with this before so I ordered another. I got it and the build quality has changed dramatically with some key differences that make me question whether or not this one will last 7 years. First, the main compartment only has one zipper whereas my old one had dual zipper on this part. That was nice because one broke some time ago and I still had one left, which led to increased longevity. The other difference is that the strap is attached to the lid, not the bottom like my old one. While it is an annoyance more than anything, every time you want to open or close it, the strap gets in the way - on the old version, with the strap on the bottom portion, it would always lay flat and expose the zipper and allow operation uninterrupted. But of concern is if the cooler is overloaded, with the strap being on the lid, all the weight is on the bottom portion pulling on the zipper, which I believe is a weakness as it could cause the zipper to fail prematurely with weight pulling on it all the time. When I bought this item, I got some sort of $10 off-promotional discount which I did not expect, leading me to pay only $19.99 for the item. If I would have paid the full $29.99 list price, I think I would have returned this item due to the above concerns. Planned obsolescence in action.
