A bit long-winded to set up using Alex, but it does work and it works very well once set up.

Hi! I’ve been using the product for almost half a year now and here’s my intake of it. Product is good quality and produces good lighting, there’s no instances of it flickering while in use and is very easy to adjust since it is compatible with my echo dot. Things to take note (but doesn’t really impact the product in my opinion) is the process of connecting it to the wifi as I had a bit of struggle with setting up mine and how it logs out by itself from the application it uses (didn’t notice it that much since I usually control it with my alexa app. Overall I do recommend the product for people who wants good adjustable lighting to their room :)

Great bulb - easy integration with the SmartLife app - and now I can switch my porch light on remotely before I get home when it's dark. Very happy :-)

Brightness good - app fairly well supported in android and apple. Instructions are good in English. BUT. App looks good but very flaky I have setup on and off times. the morning schedule works fine but the afternoon does not work at all. So i delete the afternoon and set at totally new time to test a turn on of the bulb. Still not working. But the turn off the bulb schedule in the evening is working. On top of that - the Alexa integration is appaling. I have added it as a skill - the bulb adds to my list of devices on Alexa. And then immediately goes 'un-responsive' - however manually using the bulb app im able to turn and off I wish TPlink were doing small bulbs like this as never had problems with their Alexa intergration. If you want a cheap bulb - try a competitor - the alexa integration may be better. Not recommended.

took seconds to connect to the app, took longer to connect to alexa but still was under 5 minutes. very good product!!

I just received this yesterday so I can't comment on longevity but I will share what I observed so far. So out of the box the bulb is bright white or flashing as it enters connection mode. You need an app installed on your mobile to be able to connect to the bulb. And the manufacturers app itself has been removed from the play/app store and the only way to obtain it is downloading it from some third party shady websites, is that even safe? Once you find and install the app it needs to connect with the bulb via 2G wifi. It kind of can see the bulb via BT but insists that you connect it to your home wifi. Once you do it you can set the color and brightness of the bulb. There are few modes where the bulb changes colours but unfortunately you can't change the brightness in these modes so the bulb is too bright to use it as a RGB night light in children's room etc. Considering the price it's okayish, but be warned about the app issue.

This is the second bulb I have from this make and each time it has been quick and easy to set up through the app. Alexa picked up the items automatically through the app, it was easy to rename and add into my routines. Now all I have to do is say let their be light and my lamps come on, no more getting out of bed to turn the lights off, the cats are very happy not to be disturbed 😂. The output is great, multiple brightness and colour options to tailor to your liking, all of which can be controlled through the app or Alexa app or device
