Charcoal Deodorant (Charcoal Unscented)EWG Verified

I have been looking for a 100% effective, but 100% natural with only clean ingredients deodorant for years. Seems like it would be an easy find, right? ;) Well, now that I finally found it, I want to shout from the rooftops about how non greasy, smooth, and effective it is at killing the stink! I thought about getting Lume, but the many ingredients that had limited data availability and were 3 and 4's (out of 10) had me uneasy. So, I decided to go through the EWG verified product list and hit upon this deodorant brand. This deodorant is like magic! No, seriously. The stink was real, people. From the first swipe and rub, suddenly I smelled nothing. I didn't dare hope that this time, I would truly be stink free, but as luck would have it, this deodorant is the real deal. I have been proudly and happily stink free from the first swipe! Thank you to purelygreat for this miracle product! I'm so grateful to the genius who came up with this simple but amazingly effective deodorant. Thank you, thank you!Update: Now that I have been using this deodorant for a while and have spilled a bit of the glycerin, the remaining ingredients got hard and started to irritate my underarms. I know, per the instructions I'm not supposed to shave and apply right after, but that is what I do - shower, shave and apply deodorant. Well, I'm not about to give up on the best deodorant that I've ever used in my life so I come up with a crafty solution. I went to JoAnn's and got a 2oz bottle of Wilton's food grade glycerin and put a bit into my little jar of purelygreat deodorant. Now, it's good as new! Glycerin is phenomenal in drawing and retaining moisture which is why you need it to balance out the baking soda and keep your underarms soft and rash-free! You can get Wilton's glycerin either here on Amazon or at a craft store like Michael's or JoAnn's or any store with a robust baking supply aisle. Food grade is best, but pharmacy grade glycerin will do as well. Just be sure to keep water out so as to not run the risk of introducing bacteria into the jar.

I’ve been looking for an all-natural deodorant that really works and this is it! I’ve used other all-natural roll-on, sticks and crystals, but found that within an hour or two, the effects wore off, leaving me unfortunately stinky and my shirts/blouses smelling like I hadn’t washed them. (Sorry to be so graphic, but we are talking underarm smell prevention here, so just being straight up). I was reluctant to try this product because some reviews complained about having to stir it before each use, along with the product drying up. Well, the stirring is super quick and easy, and if done daily it stays very smooth. I was surprised that the amount of product needed is tiny and the results are AMAZING. I live in Florida and am outside daily working in the yard, exercising and walking the dog, making me a great test subject for a product like this! Literally no under arm odor at all after a full day of using purely great. No shirt staining, no tacky, sticky feel. Awesome stuff, Purelygreat!!

I really did not have high expectations for this stuff, but it really works! I am a typically stinky, sweaty person, and most natural deodorant just (tries to) cover the smell. Low and behold, even the unscented version of this completely prevents me from smelling in the first place. Even with heavy sweating, I can usually wear one coat for around 48 hours before needing to wash it off and reapply. This is a first for me! I'm also pleased to see that despite its texture when applied, it soaks into the skin well and does not stain my clothes. The EWG rating is also great, so I feel good about using it regularly.The container is a little small for the cost, so I'm hoping it lasts me longer than I'm expecting it to. Even so, I would likely buy this again!

The product is amazingly effective. I didn’t mind the stirring process at all. Less difficult than opening a jar of natural peanut butter or almond butter. I bought the unscented version as many products cause me to mildly itch. The ingredient list is wonderful and has EWG’s stamp of approval. After using for several days I began to notice a mild rash under one arm. I stopped the product and it got better. I’ve decided to try it again after a couple weeks without and so far so good. Time will tell on the rash, but overall I really like the product. No staining and controls odor well.

I've spent so much time and money hunting for a deodorant that works. I've tried so many brands from clinical strength to all-natural. For me, nothing would keep odor away for more than 2-3 hours after showering. Even using antibacterial soap-- imagine being at work and you stink by 10am!It's only been a week, but I think this deodorant is finally the one. My pits have been completely odor-free all day, everyday. I especially have issues with stress sweat odor and this product has held up 100%. With all other deos I'll know after a few hours if it doesn't work for me! It's currently lunchtime and I'm literally still shower fresh. No crazy strong fragrances, no "hint of b.o.", just... fresh.I do apply a pretty decent amount of this product though-- a good bit more than the directions mention, but I know what my pits need in terms of coverage.The other thing that I consider a game changer--after I apply this particular deo, it rinses from my fingertips with just plain water-- no soap needed. To me, that means no oily residue trapping stains and smelly bacteria in the pits of my shirts that no amount of laundering seems to remove. (I have the unscented which contains no oils. I think the scented versions do include some? But I think it's the coconut oil and maybe waxes found in many stick deodorants that causes the problem.) I have SO many clothes ruined by other deodorants, but that could be because I have to use a larger amount. Either way, this one works for me and I might just start over with all new shirts now that I've found my solution.
