Once you snug it up on a 40lb tank, all you need to do when the tank empties is uncouple the tank and pull up the Powerblanket to remove it. Change to a new tank and slide the Powerblanket over the tank and reattach to whatever you are using.Too bad it's a bit expensive, but it is worth it if you need to run propane during cold periods or if you are drawing propane so fast that it freezes at the outlet.UPDATE- 1/2/14 to one starI noticed the blanket was not getting warm as before, so I called up the company. Yes, there is a 1 year warranty, but I missed it by 6 days-despite the fact that I had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Even so, they will not repair a unit as it is 'not cost effective'. So, I bought a $500 power blanket that worked for only 5 months. (It was stored in the original box for summer).This is truly another case of poor customer service and poor quality.UPDATE- 4/19/15 to 3 starsI finally got the blanket RMA'd, and they replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately, too late for the current season. The Rma process is pretty slow. I wish they could be more forthcoming by offering a replacement while the non-functioning blanket is inspected. The whole purpose of the product is to keep the propane from freezing. If I have to wait a month without it for inspection, what good is it doing me?I have purchased two of the smaller blankets PBL20 as insurance against breakdowns.I hope this replacement blanket will work longer than one season. If the second one dies, I will update again.
