COMBO PACK Magnetic Diesel Fuel Cap + DEF Cap Accessory for Dodge RAM TRUCK 1500 2500 3500 (2013-2018) with 6.7 CUMMINS EcoDiesel (Easy Grip)

First let me say that I have tried two of the other models of upgraded fuel caps here on Amazon and this one fits my 2016 Ram EcoDiesel perfectly (though, I hear there is variance in fuel filler neck diameter) and this one is easy to grab in order to remove it (unlike just about all the rest). This one is also very nice looking and has any excess weight removed.I first thought that the magnet was weak as it BARELY sticks on the inside surface of the fuel filler door. There must be a layer of plastic or aluminum over the magnetic steel in that particular place. The VERY FIRST TIME I used it, I had it stuck there and I bumped the filler door where I had stuck the cap, only enough to move the door an eighth of an inch and the cap fell to the concrete and took a chip out of that nice finish. LAME!SOOOO... don't be an idiot like me! Stick your cap to the fuel filler door HINGE, where it sticks like a champ! I'm not sure what would happen if you drove away with it stuck to the hinge; the wind may blow the door closed as you drive and hinge design may not allow enough space for the cap to stay. Not the cap designer/manufacturer's fault, either way.If you really want it to stick to the flat verticle surface on the inside of the filler door, you could epoxy another neodymium magnet to the inside of the fuel door so the two magnets will hold together. If you're going to do this, just make sure you orient the second magnet properly so that the poles want to stick to each other. ;-)

I have the Ram 2500.So i was torn between this cap and the one without the lifted portion, to allow easier removal. I went with this one bc I didn't want to have to struggle to remove the cap (after reading reviews for the other cap that seemed to be the main issue with it). Although, after taking this cap on and off I'm not sure the extra money I paid for this cap is really worth it, but then I haven't used the other cap and there wasn't a problem with either removing it or putting it on. During the winter when I'm wearing gloves I'm going to be extremely glad I bought this one and not the other one! (Just a thought if you live in a freezing climate). I also found it interesting that this cap came with a "thinner o-ring" in the package that wasn't mentioned on the add. I don't think it's needed and I would be afraid that the cap would fall out if I were to use it. It appears to fit snugly as is.That being said the cap itself appears to be well made and all one piece. I now don't have to worry about getting anything into the diesel tank that isn't supposed to be there, like when i'm filling the def and there's an over spray or washing the truck as I noticed that water did in fact get into the fuel filler compartment (which is what sent me on a search for something like this.) The magnet holds the cap firmly in place when removed.Very happy with my purchase. Doesn't appear that I will need to ever replace this item. (unless I lose it)

So my truck didn’t have a cap for the diesel when I bought it. So I found these. The fit perfectly! And have a nice clean look. Have had them over three months now and no issues. Just look great and do the job! Would definitely recommend these caps!

Seems to be built well. However I only gave 4 stars because it could be a little deeper in the hole of the filler tube. It’s secure when attached but it wouldn't take much effort if it decided to slide out on its own. The magnet is strong enough to attach to the fuel door hinge while you’re fueling up.I put this on a 2018 Ram 2500.

So this thing is only slightly larger than the DEF cap. I thought it would be about the size of normal cap, but not an issue. The magnet is strong and it sticks to the fuel door hinge no problem, won't blow away like the factory red cap. It sits into the fuel port and seals nicely. Please know that the only intention of the magnet is so you can stick it to fuel door hinge when you get fuel not to magnet to the fuel port, that's what the o ring is for. This cap really just sits in the port, but with the o ring that's installed it makes a nice tight seal, and won't fall out. The new easy grip design is why I purchased this one over the others on Amazon, I have big hands and it's hard to grip small things, especially if you wear gloves when you fill up. The finish is anodized green with diesel laser engraved on it, it will last a long time. I would deffinetly reccomened this product because face it if you haven't lost that red cap yet you will. This is cheap and gets the job done. I didn't like just having an open fuel port like that so this cap fixed the issue. Just buy it.

These worked out great. Not my 2018 ram 3500 diesal perfectly, so much better then the factory plastic ones. Magnets work on the fuel door only on my truck. They look nice too
