Great for Peace of Mind
While I hope to never have to use this product, it definitely provides peace of mind when boating or traveling in remote locations. The instructions are simple, and it appears the PLB will be very easy to use if necessary. I purchased the model with the screen which provides feedback so you can rest assured that your emergency signal has been received. ACR is the leader in PLB technology, and anyone boating in remote locations should have one. Note that the unit requires registration, and periodic testing to ensure proper functionality.

Safety equipment
Bought for son in law to have on his boat and person when he’s fishing off shore. Haven’t had to use it yet. But it’s nice to know they have it on board just in case

Outstanding GPS emergency safety product for hikers or off grid campers
Easy to use. Light weight. Quality product. “No subscription” required is a great feature. Homing frequency on emergency VHF is a bonus. Likewise the strobe feature can also assist searchers in locating you when in close proximity.

What they dont tell you
These are great to have. I purchased 2. But what they dont tell you is the Text Back service is another 48.00 per device.
