OXO Good Grips Wooden Turner, Beech

My last wooden spoon chipped…. And it was fairly new. I honestly don’t remember where I bought it, but it was not on Amazon. This one I got on Amazon. The price was good and the quality is out of this world at the time I’m writing this post I only just received it but so far so good should I change I’ll definitely update so if you hear nothing from me assume it’s still an excellent working condition! Def recommend !

My special glass cookware says to only use wood utensils to avoid scratches. If I store leftovers in them, we sometimes like to leave a spoon directly in the dish for quick snacking. We had to be really careful with standard metal spoons. This wood spoon is small enough to fit inside most dishes and won't cause scratches! Only slightly bigger than a tablespoon.

We use a lot of lemons. I have the fancy metal yellow lemon juicer that keeps the seeds in the bowl. That’s a nice tool, but I always feel like there should be more juice. This little reamer, such a perfect word for this tool, gets every last drop of juice out of the lemon you would want. So simple. So efficient. Sonoracticsl. Sometimes the old fashioned tool is just what you need. And for less than $10. Winner!

This is a handy on for non stick pans but is also good with my copper pans. Good solid product

I had a small wooden Amazon spoon that lasted about 5 yrs and finally got a crack in it. I wanted to find one similar and this is it. It’s a small, lightweight, yet sturdy spoon. I’m hoping it lasts as long as the other one.

I think this will last a very long time. Nice heft and smooth finish.

I was surprised how substantial this was. I really was expecting something thin and cheap. Very nice.

These wooden spoons are so perfect for serving! Hand wash, dry and food grade oil. I love the natural feel of wood with clay dinner ware. Great addition to your kitchen!

This is sturdier and bigger than any other woodden spoon I've ever had. I read the reviews and saw the pictures from the people who said it cracked and suspected something which turned out to be true. When I received the item one of the first things I noticed was that the wood was very dry. I covered it in a layer of butchers block oil (lemon oil to be more precise) and it absorbed it in less than half an hour. I ended up repeating that 8 times before it felt like the wood was smooth and not as dry. Then I covered it in butchers block wax (a lemon oil and beeswax mixture in my case) and left it over night. I waxed it again in the morning and left it until night. Then I washed it and have been using it since. The point is that the wood is already dry and using it with dry ingredients drains the little moisture it has. So it will crack. That should not happen if you seal it somehow. In my case, by oiling it. Very happy with it so far and have had no issues. I use it mostly for mixing ingredients and it does that flawlessly. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it was not presealed. Other than that, an excellent product. I'll update this review if any issues come up.

It is very efficient at removing juice

Took a while to get here due to EU clearance rules etc...yawn, yawn...5 days for 1 wooden spoon... but when it finally arrived I was really impressed. It’s a strong, well made spoon, just the right size for stirring a good sized pan of soup or stew. I think it will last a long time. It doesn’t seem like it would crack any time soon. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it. Great price too for what it is. Well worth it!!

This is a very strong spoon for stirring what ever you want to stir with it.
