Memotronics PC579. If you are looking for a socket to use an LED bulb in your overhead map light (say for a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country) this is it. It is a perfect fit in the socket recetpacle. The socket is well constructed and allows easy removal of the existing incandescent bulb and replacement with a 194 LED bulb. A white LED bulb gives a much brighter light than the yellowish incandescent. I used Marsauto 194 LED Light Bulb 6000K (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B079L3WBDN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and the end result is great.

Worked great to replace 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan map lights, with included incandescent bulbs replaced with these:Alla Lighting 2pcs Super Bright 168 PC579 White LED Bulbs Interior Map Dome Light Replacement for 2001~2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac.Don't be thrown off by the Ford Explorer thing, these fit perfectly into the Dodge Caravan map light socket, for 2001-2007 models, and possibly others.

These bulbs are very good quality and a perfect fit for the 2005 Caravan front Dome Light. They we easy to switch over to LED bulbs too simply swiping the bulbs and getting the polarity right. Simply plug in and out of plastic fixture which is a poor design itself but thats Dodges fault.

They work fine but they are NOT LEDs as the description states. I suspected that was the case but really needed the bases.

After 10 years of fighting with the overhead console lights going off and on due to flimsy bulbs originally installed by Chrystler I can now drive at night with the knowledge that when I open the door the overhead console lights will come on and stay on. I was hesitant on purchasing the lights as I thought the problem was in the console itself but I am glad now that I did. The base of these bulbs or made of a different material that stop the lights from rotating in the socket when they goat hot, No more loose bulbs.
